Today is my sky-birthday, 5 years ago today I did a static line jump out of a 182 in Grandbury, TX at Eagle Flight Skydiving. I was on a Dolphin container with a Laser9 288 and a Centinal (sp?) AAD.

So for 5 years of jumping I have just a hair under 1600 jumps, I have 700 tandems and gained a fiance. Nevermind that I have met some incredible people, had some great times, jumped with a pumpkin and can't invision my life without skydiving.

So I'm half-way there, just 5 more years until I'm not considered a skydiving tourist anymore (by some standards).

A little less than 4 to go until my 10th year. (Not counting my military jumper time)I have you on time but you have edged ahead on jumps. I still hold a slight lead in posts though.

My first jump was on a Laser 288 as well.

Consider yourself lucky that you can jump all year long in Texas. Here in Canada I'm lucky to get 6 months!

Yup, Malachi and I were in the same first jump course 5 years ago and have been there for many things.

Infact, it was a phone call I got in April of 2000 from Malachi that finally got me skydiving. He had booked us for our first jump and needed my $100 for the class and jump. Of course he booked us with out asking me, which was perfectly fine, since he knew for a fact that both of us would start jumping and never look back.

I remember a time when I was 100 jumps ahead of Dave and the only one that owned gear. He actually made a really impressive number of jumps without borrowed/rented gear. Then he got his own and has lapped me twice since then.
