AggieDave 6 #1 May 22, 2005 Today is my sky-birthday, 5 years ago today I did a static line jump out of a 182 in Grandbury, TX at Eagle Flight Skydiving. I was on a Dolphin container with a Laser9 288 and a Centinal (sp?) AAD. So for 5 years of jumping I have just a hair under 1600 jumps, I have 700 tandems and gained a fiance. Nevermind that I have met some incredible people, had some great times, jumped with a pumpkin and can't invision my life without skydiving. So I'm half-way there, just 5 more years until I'm not considered a skydiving tourist anymore (by some standards).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." AggieDave 6 #3 May 22, 2005 Quote Congrats, Dave. You've nearly lapped me. Maybe in skydiving but I'm sure you could lap me on a track! Nevermind that if I strapped a board to my feet I would most likely die a spectacular spinning death.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." JohnMitchell 16 #5 May 22, 2005 QuoteSo I'm half-way there, just 5 more years until I'm not considered a skydiving tourist anymore (by some standards). Another 150 tandems and you'll pass me up. I wouldn't really call you a "tourist". Happy sky birthday, Dave. You got off to a good start.

KindredSpirit 0 #12 May 22, 2005 My first jump was on a Laser 288 as well. Consider yourself lucky that you can jump all year long in Texas. Here in Canada I'm lucky to get 6 months! "Kicking gravity's ass since 2003!"

AggieDave 6 #21 May 23, 2005 Yup, Malachi and I were in the same first jump course 5 years ago and have been there for many things. Infact, it was a phone call I got in April of 2000 from Malachi that finally got me skydiving. He had booked us for our first jump and needed my $100 for the class and jump. Of course he booked us with out asking me, which was perfectly fine, since he knew for a fact that both of us would start jumping and never look back.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." flyingferret 0 #22 May 23, 2005 I remember a time when I was 100 jumps ahead of Dave and the only one that owned gear. He actually made a really impressive number of jumps without borrowed/rented gear. Then he got his own and has lapped me twice since then.-- All the flaming and trolls of wreck dot with a pretty GUI.
