I walked by the tallest building in Santiago (and most BASEable) the other night and they had the window washer lift lowered to ground level at like midnight. I just wanted to cry. Just finishing up 5 months of studying and traveling. Got 9 more days here and then a week in Peru to visit Macchu Picchu. dixieskydiver 0 #10 May 23, 2005 My friend and I rented a rig together but we were both in the fourth time slot for jumping. He jumped but all the packers were busy at the bottom and he thought people were packing up top too so he rode the bus back up, then couldn´t find any. So we rode back down to the bottom on the bus and that it when the torrential rain-wind storm began. So then everyone was trying to get on the bus to go back up and I was trying to get someone to help me pack it because I still wasn´t really sure after several demonstrations. Finally after I started to try and pack it myself this cool Brazilian dude came over and saved me. By the time it got packed up and I ran to the front of the bus line there was only 25 minutes of jumping left. By the time I get a ride for the 20 minute ride up the mountain there was only 20 minutes left. I told someone on the bus that i hadn´t jumped yet and pretty soon the story worked its´ way back to Johnny Utah who came up to the front of the bus as we pulled up at 3:01 and told me to follow him and I would get to jump. So we lept over the concrete barrier and ran through the press entrance and he grabbed Jason Bell and told him what was up, meanwhile the park ranger guy was yelling no more jumpers. So they rushed me up on the platform and thankfully re-routed my bridal which I had done incorrectly on the bus ride up and then I jumped and made an ass of myself running around yelling at the bottom.
