cderham 0 #1 May 11, 2005 Caught a Green Day concert last night and they brought down the house!!! The was even a "I'm Rick James Bitch!" Thrown in. What a great show. The kids even loved it (12&13). I did notice that the crowd was quite young too. Any way. If anyone gets a chance I'd say go it's well worth the money!! Cornholio 0 #2 May 11, 2005 Oh yah...just got my tix in the mail for the September show here in SF. Where did you see them at ? I had the chance to see them at a smaller venue last year, but wasn't able to make it. Now I have tix to see them at a freakin stadium with 30,000 other idiots. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool! bellyflier on the dz.com hybrid record jump
RkyMtnHigh 0 #3 May 11, 2005 I'm sure that concert WAS awesome! I'd love to see them. It is funny that the older we get the concert crowd seems so young. I won tickets to Moby and Rabbit in the Moon off KBCO last year at Red Rocks and was so excited...loved the concert, but I was old enough to be everyone's mom...but atleast I'm a kuhl mom _________________________________________
skymedic 0 #4 May 11, 2005 Good to hear. my daughter(11) and I are going to the concert on friday here in STL. i am hoping it'll be rockin. skymedic 0 #5 May 11, 2005 My mom said i was crazy for thinking of taking her "precious granddaughter" to a (punk) rock show. I was like damn...i wish i had parents that took me when I was that age. I can't wait. good thing is I show all kinds of music to Lauren all the time...try to steer her away from bubble gum goo P(o)OP....so far she loves the killers and green day....oh and that good charlotte...but I'm not big fans of them. golferbill 0 #6 May 11, 2005 I hope they play near Pensacola sometime soon! Last month Three Doors Down were here and they also rocked (Breaking Benjamin opened for them)! Felt like I was the oldest person there! See Ya!

cderham 0 #8 May 11, 2005 Seen them In Peoria, IL. Great venue and tixs were only $35 each. There was alot of crowd participation. I'll leave it at that. Chris It's Jimmy Time!! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Team-Fast-As-Fuck/6099474213
cderham 0 #9 May 11, 2005 She will love it!! mine did!! I can't say I like My Chemical Romance" thou They were overpowering the lyrics with cluttered music. Thats too bad because I do like there music but can't say I enjoyed it live. I felt like I was in a club where I couldn't make sence of what was what. Also if you are cautious of language around your daughter the MCR singer said fuck EVERY chance he got!!! I know my mouth is far from clean but I couldn't understand why he thought it was cool Green Days sound was right on. They were so tight and sounded just like your were listening to your albums!!! I am thinking of getting tickets for the show in Moline, IL in Sept. They go on sale this Sat. cderham 0 #10 May 11, 2005 As far as being the oldest person there I was far from that. There was a couple next to us that showed all dressed up that had to be at least 50!!! I was like rock on Gram & Gramps!!!! It was quite amussing to watch them rock out! As well as make comments about the 2 16-17 years olds in front of us damn near having sex in there seat. My youngest son (12) finally said "You paid for the show watch it. You can make out on the drive home" Chris It's Jimmy Time!! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Team-Fast-As-Fuck/6099474213
skymedic 0 #11 May 11, 2005 with my daughter being 11...I'm sure she hears that stuff at school. I'm not too concerned with it. It is what I kinda expect. I like MCR's stuff...and so does lauren. hopefully we will like it live also. It's just such a wierd feeling being the Dad going to a concert with my daughter...and with a band we BOTH like. SOOOO freakin cool. can't wait. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
Cornholio 0 #12 May 11, 2005 QuoteI'll be one of those idiots with you Oh cool.. GA ?? Any other jumpers from the Bay Area going ? Btw - my reference to Idiot was in relation to their new album title and tour name - "American Idiot Tour" But you probably already knew that. Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! mcneill79 0 #13 May 11, 2005 I wish I had GA tickets... I'm going with friend and her daughter and she wasn't comfortable with GA, so we have seats. Should be fun though
mfrese 0 #14 May 11, 2005 Speaking of idiots...Lynn and I will be there, in the seats! Doctor I ain't gonna die, Just write me an alibi! ---- Lemmy/Slash
Cornholio 0 #15 May 12, 2005 Or before! Yeah, I totally forgot that tickets were on sale the day they came out, even after I marked it on TWO calendars... geesh.. So when I looked the next day, all GA was sold out.. So I went to Ebay!! 2 GA tickets for $130.00 for both. Not too bad of a markup for selling out those types of tix. Butthead: Whoa! gravitysucks 0 #17 May 12, 2005 "my daughter(11) and I" I hate going to these concerts and seeing all of the young kids with their parents (kudos though for responsible parenting). I saw Good Charolette and Simple Plan last week and I was the oldest one there who wasn't a chaperone..... and I'm only 24.
mcneill79 0 #18 May 12, 2005 Yeah... we should definitely all meet up, we'll figure it out when it's a little closer. Hey Mike, I'm heading down to Hollister this Saturday. Will you be there?
 skymedic 0 #19 May 12, 2005 well simple plan and good charlotte are total pop punk geared straight for my daughter and her friends...green day is definately not geared so young, although they do seem to have a huge envelope of different ages who enjoy them. I am a huge fan of green day and was going to just go to the concert alone(i'm 31)...but then Lauren started to enjoy listening to them...so what the heck..I got her a ticket also. Supposedly green day is going to play some BIG venues soon...as in stadiums...just like U2 and The Dead used too. it'll be interesting. Marc otherwise known as Mr.Fallinwoman....
