Paige 0 #3 May 9, 2005 I learned how to turn on my head in the tunnel, not such a big deal to most people but since all I do is the tunnel now, it's pretty sweeeet for me Well, I wouldn't say learned as so much is in the process of still learning. I have nothing[/] down so well that I can't afford not to practice it and I need to improve on it all anyway. alw 0 #4 May 9, 2005 I learned that 11 people will pack fast to beat the sun to make a load and get a student into the air for his graduation jump. Pulling high, going to half brakes and watching the sun go down is a wonderful thing. Even these old legs can run out a landing when the whole DZ is watching and cheering. ccowden 0 #14 May 9, 2005 I learned that a 100lb. girl tandem passenger is not always a good thing. With the winds we had, I had to back all the way up to my landing area and lost 3 cells in the turbulance at about 100ft. No fun at all!

JUDYJ 0 #18 May 9, 2005 I learned..... ....must fly my slot despite the foolishness around me. ....knowing where my slot is when the 5 way is rotating and one is having to chase the spider -- is much harder to do than anyone could have told me. .....I have alot to learn. ccowden 0 #19 May 9, 2005 Yeah, it sucked. I think the entire northeast had those winds. I had no idea how violent it could be if you lose 3 cells on a tandem canopy. It actually ripped the toggle out of my hand when they reinflated, and my shoulder is pretty sore today. Needless to say, we didn't do anymore tandems. Good call on riding the plane down!
