I happen to like a lot of funny Brittish garbage! Ever watch Coupling? Now that's a funny show! I've watched season 1 and 2 over and over. Love it! We tried to do it in the US. It was the same exact script with a shorter time slot. So someone in charge decided that since they had a shorter time slot they would just make the actors TALK REALLY FAST! It lost it's charm and never really took here. Sorry, I'm quite intoxicated so I can't express myself very well. I do love brittish humor. -------------- (Do not, I repeat DO NOT, take my posts seriously.)

lizzieuk 0 #55 May 9, 2005 I have a little experience of the radio show and books, although I could never claim to be a big Hitchhiker's guide fan. I loved the film, was very funny, entertaining and great to watch visually. My absolute favourite part was Alan Rickman voicing Marvin the Paranoid Android.... Fantastic!! I love Alan Rickman in Harry Potter, Robin Hood, Love Actually etc, but this was a whole new level of adoration - such a cute little android, and so negative, no voice could suit that role so well (sorry if that's controversial to radio series fans!) Martin Freeman was great too, that lost look he gets when everything is just too much always makes me laugh, he's not just TimfromTheOffice any more. I giggled all the way through this film, especially at the freefalling whale Interesting fact - the film made £4.2 million in it's first week of UK release... ooooh....! Deuce 1 #57 May 10, 2005 I took my 8 year olds to see it, and my wife. Very good. The Volgons reminded me of the excellence of Dark Crystal. (Parents, if you haven't had your kids see Dark Crystal, you should. The last great not CGI movie" The real-motion Volgons had me. Great film. Loved it. riddler 0 #58 May 10, 2005 Own the books (hardback), own the BBS DVDs. Was pleasantly surprised by the movie - it was pretty good. They caught a lot of the good points, and were creative about some of the harder effects (Zaphod's two heads, etc).Trapped on the surface of a sphere. happythoughts 0 #59 May 10, 2005 Brunette. She had dark hair. Plus, I never really heard her say anything dumb. To me, she came across as spur-of-the-moment, not stupid.

happythoughts 0 #61 May 10, 2005 My bad. I was talking about the movie. The one in the movie was impulsive in calm and clear-headed in the exciting parts. The one in your pic looks like a hooker who takes food coupons.
