weegegirl 2 #1 May 9, 2005 I tried a search and got about 20,000 posts that mention health insurance. So maybe someone has some quick answers that could help me out. Who gives good coverage for a fair price, and also covers skydiving? I'm going to do some research myself, but the "covering skydiving" part is where I thought people might be able to help. Thanks. Now I'm going to go knock on a LOT of wood. I've been jumping without insurance for about 3 years now. Time to change that.
Brains 2 #3 May 9, 2005 Hey Weege, I have had health ins. with Humana and with Blue Cross/Blue Shield. In fact we are switching back to BC/BS now so i have a form in front of me and there isn't anything on there about activities. Now life ins. is a whole nother matter. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.

After that, the skydiving rider is removed.Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile. If you want to be certain what you're getting, though, go through an agent. Their commission would be minimal, and they can help you get exactly what you want.
 LaDonna 0 #11 May 9, 2005 If you are in an area that you can get Kaiser Permanente, they cover skydiving accidents and there rates are not too bad. We were told that to them an accident is an accident, a skydiving accident is no different to them as falling off your bike. They won't cover if you are teaching someone to skydive. Hope this helps. My plan is alright (no cover birth control- but they'll cover viagara- don't get me started!) and about $150 a month. Please forgive me if I get insurancey on you. And as for background, I am a Illinois licensed Health/Life insurance producer, so I do actually have experience and background on this. Your coverage will depend entirely on your risk. I.E what you choose to cover, you can have health insurance that would not cover specific activities. such as skydiving, this would be a "rider" on your policy. The skydiving aspect is going to spike your coverage across the board for nearly any provider. A much larger determination on your overall risk will be past medical history, smoker, children, married, age, occupation. Health insurance is almost always more expensive for women, and life insurance is almost always more expensive for men. Shop around, the internet is great for quotes of all kinds, start with major companies. Agents are there to offer goods and services, put the guys to work for you.
