skyyhi 0 #8 May 7, 2005 I am in So Cal. . .what do you think? Sunny, warm with highs in the upper 80's. Possible high wind advisory for the afternoon (like that is anything new). I just wish I was at the DZ instead of buried in this Nursing textbook. . .damn but school sux big time. . .________________________________________ Take risks not to escape life… but to prevent life from escaping. ~ A bumper sticker at the DZ FGF #6 Darcy
Evelyn 0 #9 May 7, 2005 Hi Darcy...don't feel bad about not heading to the DZ today. I started out and turned around when it started raining. Think it cleared up later, but don't think it was a great day for jumpin in So. Cal. wmw999 2,534 #12 May 8, 2005 Quotedon't think it was a great day for jumpin in So. Cal. I'm at the bigway camp at Perris. We got 2 jumps yesterday, and one jump today. I don't think you folks not at the DZ are missing a lot of skydiving. On the other hand, we WERE expecting some party here tonight, but I think we're heading out for dinner instead... happythoughts 0 #17 May 8, 2005 QuoteQuoteabout 85 and sunny..... now it's @ 77 and DARK!!!!!! That is in Lakeland. In Zhills, it is always sunny and clear. There is a story about 2 drunks that walk out of the Crystal and they look up. One says that he sees the sun and the other says it is the moon. So they ask another drunk who is staggering out. He replies, "I don't know, I'm not from around here."
freeflir29 0 #18 May 8, 2005 I tell ya............when the day comes that people aren't constantly trying to kill me here in Baghdad...........I'm opening a DZ. It has been cloudy exactly 3 days since I have been here. One of those days.........the clouds were off and on all day. So.........2 days out of 3 weeks would have been H&P weather. One day it rained all day. 2 days it was quite hot.......about 104. ALL the rest........Sunny, warm but not too hot, gentle breeze. The weather here is PERFECT for skydiving. Anywhere outside a major city and not in the river is an out. I think one day that Skydive Baghdad could be a HUGE vacation destination.
