I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I can only offer that whatever pain he may have had is now truely over. I have had several friends do this, one I personally found and it was a horrible thing to show up thinking it will be a fun weekend and instead have to deal with the aftermath. Hang in there and remember the good things and place the rest of it as something that happened in the past so you and your loved ones can move on to better days.

Like another poster said, do not feel any guilt over this situation, and if you do, please go and talk to someone about it.

This was your son's choice, and nothing you did, said, didn't do or didn't say caused him to do it.

I had an ex-boyfriend commit suicide two days after I broke up with him, and I know that these feelings of guilt are common for those left behind. He was also 26, and I felt so horrible looking at his parents.

What a terrible loss for a parent to have to experience. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I am sure Kevin loved you and all the people who shared his Life.
I know that love gave him hope and strength .
Being depressed and having overwhelming anxiety both at the same time feels like the moment you were told your son was dead only 100times worse and is like a wave up and down but never gone.when it gets worse and you know you have no control the only thing that keeps you alive is the thought of the ones you love and their pain. You use that to help get to the other side as best you can.
You always know in the back of your mind that one day it will overwhelm you and you will stop the pain and suffering until then you live as best you can and love as best you can.
The people in this world who beleive suicide is selfish are them selves selfish.
They will never understand the pain or the depth of it.

It is what it is . No one to blame and he new that.

I've been through this, a few times now, the last time was my son... He made it through, though when I found him he was gone.

Nevertheless, the pain endures, I don't think I'll ever get over it, it shapes my days.

I know this to be the toughest thing I've ever had to deal with, don't know that I'll ever recover, but I am getting better.
