Snake swallows Kangaroo whole, I shit you not!

Recommended Posts

Being the proud owner of an 11 foot Albino Burmese Python, this is very typical, AMAZING, YES!!! My cuddley little counterpart engulfs 6lb rabbits like there is no tomorrow. He gets fed twice a month and here is an interesting tidbit of info, For every pound of food, a snake will add 1 inch to length!

But I am here to tell you, there are consequences to having something that eats like this. Cleaning out a cage that looks like a freakin' Great Dane shit in it is not what I like to do on occasion. Not to mention every time he craps, there is about a quart of piss that goes with it. Very foul enviroment. But, I am not going to complain cause this is by far, the best pet that I have ever owned. Take away the fact that it can eat my kids, but that is besides the point. ;)

Billy, you have entirely too much time on your hands.

not photoshopped. its a baby wallaby being eaten by a carpet python. carpet pythons are native to Australia and get up to 10+ feet in length. they are a subspecies of the diamond python and can be interbred (Morelia spilota ssp. and Morelia spilota spilota respectively).

As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD...

I call shinanigans by pic 3.

Not that I beleive the feat entirely impossible, just that the pics seem very clearly photoshoped to me.

Look, from pic three and onwards, the portion of the snake which has kangaroo in it is a different shade altogether.

Is it me? I can't take them for real.

Yep, I agree, not photoshopped at all.

Pythons are made to do this. What do you think they do, constrict you til you die and then start taking little bites?

This is common in southern africa with luislange. A "luislang" (constricter) will eat springboks regularly and then not eat for a month or so.

I dont have the time, but find a pic of a Eggeater man. Dislocates its jaw to eat ostrich eggs. Now THAT is something to look at!

Cheers yo
B

Come to think of it, I also remember an incident in India or Bangladesh, where a Burmese Python (which I think is the largest snake breed in the world) was found to have swallowed an adult male whole... I'm not kidding! Those snakes get as long as 23 - 24 feet... B|

Yeah . . . he's just stretched out. A lot. :D

He's probably mostly translucent at that point.

Is that what happens? Is that why he's so pale where he is full?

look at shot 9... see the yellow area? It seems this is the actual snake and the "stretched" part has been added. If you actually cut it out and compare it to the red area (see the second shot)... hmmm.

I don't know. I'm still thinking it's a job.

Where are these photos from?

Again, it's not that I think the feat impossible, it's just that the photos look so very fake.

Shot nine is the worst of all. I mean the body keeps changing color, it's head seems to have stretched sideways, and the way the it's body leaves the screen and then comes back right next to itself suggests a fold that would not be possible.

Perhaps I'm a retarded sherlock at this point... I just can't beleive the shot.

I cannot vouch for whether these photos are real or not. They do look real, and these snakes can be pretty long. By the way, kangaroos and wallabys have weird body shapes that have got to be awkward enough to swallow, so I figure the bulge outlined is a leg or the tail...

My snake's head will expand laterally (as well as the dislocated jaw thing) when it is swallowing a rat.

When my snake is eating, the scales get spread out, so that the white flesh between them shows up more.

I say the photos are real.

When a snake swallows something big, it looks really fake & distorted in real life. Maybe next time I feed my snake I'll take a pic. Onlly problem is: she hates it when someone is hovering over the cage when she's in the middle of trying to swallow a rat.

Exactly...the snake will change color. Also, the back is very difference scales and colors from the front of the snake. (back and belly).

As for being twisted in a impossible way, pic 9 does look that way, but look at pic 7 and you see why.

Why would someone go to the effort of faking a crapload of pics? No way. they are real.
Why would they fake something that actually does happen, to an even larger extent?

Those hoofs and bones are gonna hurt coming back out!

I dunno... if that snake can stretch its mouth and body as much as it did swallowing the whole damn Wallaby, who's to say its ass can't do the same thing?:ph34r::D:D:D

whitish balls of compacted bones, and nothing else. Pretty amazing, if you think about it. I'm sure it would take a good long while, but I think that huge snake would do something similar.

The white substance would be urates
Snakes do not have a urinary tract and process urates as whitish crystals.
