how do you do a screen capture on a mac???

If you go into your applications you will find something called Grabber.
This bit of software allows you to "grab" all of the desktop, a single window that is open or something else that I cant remember.You just click on the window you need to capture and then click on grab. I think its in the file menu.
It can save it straight to your desktop as a number of different formats.
Voila easy aint it.

It does work. It will entitle it "Picture 1". As a default, it will put it in your Documents folder (on Mac OSX), unless you changed your preferences to another folder or desktop. Do a search for Picture.

I do it pretty often on my machine at work because something is always screwing up and giving me an error message!

You're right, it's shift+apple+3, and it makes the image "picture 1" on the desktop, for me.

When you open it, is usually opens in "Preview."
