freeflyimpaired 0 #3 April 24, 2005 Yeah, same thing down here. Got a couple in before the wind picked up but we were done by noon. Tommorro does look good, hang in there man. Joe. Its amazing my years in the sport that has never changed. It only happens to newbies Be patient my friend, it gets better, and it happened to ALL of us. Just hanging out is a great way to learn as you seem to have discovered already!
Nickkk 0 #5 April 24, 2005 I know that feeling all too well.... Just be patient! What do you do when someone throws a big planet at you? Throw your pilot chute in defense!

popsjumper 2 #7 April 24, 2005 Jeez! Was it windy everywhere? Georgia was winded out - screwed up our planned night jumps and cookout..... BUT! There's always tomorrow! My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. Falcon5232, SCS8170, SCSA353, POPS9398, DS239
Remster 30 #8 April 24, 2005 Sometimes, you can learn just as much, if not more, by spending a day on the ground at the DZ... Then again, some weather days can be a hell of a lot more dangerous then jumping days! lolRemster
RkyMtnHigh 0 #9 April 24, 2005 QuoteIt's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than to be in the air wishing you were on the ground. ...what Steve says is so true. I remember so many winded out dayz when I was in Colorado. I took advantage of them to listen and learn from the upjumpers and instructors. I also took out the A card and got a lot signed off as they were ground discussions. Be a sponge and ask, ask, ask...in this sport especially, you never stop learning. Therefore, downtime is good. _________________________________________
popsjumper 2 #10 April 24, 2005 Right on Remi...we gave packing lesons, talked tracking dives and techniques, had Safety Day reminder sessions, and practiced 12-ounce curls when the light came on...
