Will this hurt the marketing of Hells Angels T-shirts?

Wow!!! But my question is. If he does not ride, why was he wearing the shirt? What would he have done if he ran into the REAL Hells Angels?

I guess it's a case of a posing bad MOFO running into 2 real and crazy MOFOs.

Oh well. Crazy world.

Hey... if you wanna wear a tshirt that associates you to drug dealers and murderers, you are asking for trouble.

A little different. If you are going to wear someone's colors somewhere. You should know what they mean and what the consequences are. This guy did not. This is essentially a uniform.

The ultimate joke was when a retired member of the Canadian Airborne Regiment wore his camoflage jacket at the front of a gay pride parade!
Hee!
Hee!
This was back in the day when the Canadian Airborne Regiment were the ONLY Canadian soldiers issued with camoflage jackets.
Back in thise days, the official treatment for any member of the Canadian Armed Forces suspected of gay tendencies was for his shipmates/squadron mates/regimental brothers to kick the crap out him, then a sentence in military prison followed by a dishonorable discharge.

Hells Angels support shirts cannot say Hells Angels or even HA. The Hells Angels logo and name can only be wore by club members!! All Hells Angels support apparel say "support your local 81" H eighth letter in Alphabet, A first letter. Most Shirts say right on the back in large letters "KNOWN ASSOCIATE". This has been reasons for other clubs to beat you up if not kill you if worn in the wrong area. And him not riding he probably did not realize how serious these clubs take there names and area. I live in a very large "Outlaws" area. I have a friend in the Hells Angels and a couple of other clubs all who do not get along with the Outlaws. I own shirts that do not get worn except for certain events just because of this reason. Motorcycle clubs get alot of bad press but sit down and talk with a club member sometime and you will change your stereotype. They love what they love and catch hell for it.. but they still continue to persue there passion...... Sound familiar???

Yeah... the peaceloving hells.... Please. I know some. They are criminals and many are murderers (they still wear their Filthy Few badges here). Its not a bike club, its organized crime.

I'm not saying every one is a great upstanding citizen. But why catagorize a whole group by the bad apples. That can easily be done with every activity, club, etc... I have grown up around various clubs and met many criminals and many club members. There is a difference. I do know that there has been alot of trouble for the Hells Angels in Canada but all I have read is the News reports and we all know how reports twist thing around in our sport. I'm not defending and I'm not arguing I'm just bring up my opinion thats all.

Yeah, kinda like all those bastards that started the Sturgis rally right?

Do you know the origin of the Hells Angels name circa WWII?

I am not defending them and many are bad people. I would not get involved with an MC any more than I would wear blue or red do rags in the projects.

But to lump any value on apparel or the colors in general makes you no different than the guys who killed him for the apparel.

Personally, I think it is a poignant tragic analogy to our society. Everyone wants to wear logos for things they have absolutely zero personal association with. OCC, WCC, HA, etc. Quit being a walking billboard and grow an identity.

Yes I do. Do you know that they are a an organized crime group now? Again, some of them may be real nice guys. I know of at least one such one such real nice guy from the hells. Very good skydiver too. He's in jail for 25 these days.

Agreed. Everytime I see a truck with a Harley/West coast chopper/orange county chopper/etc. sticker it makes me sick. If 98% of the people wearing the stuff actually had the bike they were advertising, it'd be a different story.

More then a few times I've had people come up to me wearing a HD/OCC/WCC/etc shirt, hat, etc and ask me if my bike was a Harley. When I respond that its not, its a Kawasaki, they tell me "oh, if its not Harley its not shit." When I ask them what they ride, they tend to respond "oh, well, I don't have a bike..."

What ever.

I get that alot up here too (I've got a 2 suzuki's, a 2001 800cc V-Twin and a 1981 GS650 that's older than I am. I love them both.:)
The usual response I get is "Well, I'm going to get....". At that point I usually laugh and drive off.

I had a guy last weekend on an 883 tell me "get a real bike." I laughed and told him ehwn he stopped riding his sister's bike, I'll get a real bike.

As far as Hells Angels and other clubs, there are some good people and some bad people. I still believe that you judge the person and not the group.

Again, I am not defending them at all. Simply pointing out that the generalization might be off in regards to all MCs. In this case I think the story verifies your assumption.

My last paragraph is my point regarding the situation. It is tragically ironic, because some idiot wore it trying to be something he wasn't and the wrong people thought he was something he wasn't.

Dave and I both have a shirt with a maltese cross that says "I owe a bike, not just a shirt" Wicked Jester seems to have dropped/hidden their bike gear or I would link it.

Bottom line practically: don't screw with people who are nastier than you.

Bottom line philosophically: don't be a poser.

Exactly.

For instance, although I think J. James is a bit of a jackass, I really respect the work he does and think his bikes are pretty slick. I don't own a single piece of WCC clothing or stickers.

Same thing with a lot of the other shops that I like (Choppers, Inc. Denton County Choppers, Martin Brothers, NYC Choppers, etc). I don't have their stuff, I don't wear their shirts. That's not who I am.

With that said, I have been brain storming to come up with a name and a logo for a bullshit MC for skydivers. No dues, nothing except its for skydivers who ride. Doesn't matter what you ride, just that you ride.

Any ideas?

His bikes are beautiful, but I'm not sure I'd want to ride one. I've yet to see one with a decent rear suspension, and I think I'd be too worried that I'd scratch it. :P

The sad thing is that the most successful motorcycle companies are successful only because they make more money on shirts and stickers than motorcycles.

:S

That goes for HD too. The funny thing they sold an image of unique independence to the masses. See a paradox?

When I was at one of the 100th anni. road shows last year, they had mobile museums with past advertising. Some of the advertising of days past could certainly be used to snipe some modern riders. Of course the event was full of new shiny black squeaky never ridden in leather clad people too.
