Skyliving_Dave 0 #32 April 19, 2005 QuoteA free, brand new custom Sabre2 170 is being shipped to me tomorrow and I can't jump it for at least a month! I get the impression you're after sympathy... No way! free custom canopy, grumble grumble... skybytch 273 #33 April 19, 2005 Which one? "My" main - ie the one I own - is a Spectre 170. The main I'm currently jumping (borrowing) is a Safire 149. The main I hope to be jumping (borrowing) by the end of the summer is a Sabre 135. My reserve is a PD143R.

AggieDave 6 #41 April 19, 2005 QuoteDude, when you get on a x-brace 120 you're going to get some major distance. My calcs show 120 @ 2.35 - heh That's basically the right wingloading on a 120. The major trick is I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to go to here in a few more months (or longer if it takes longer to get to that skill level) for a 135 for a stepping stone canopy. Something to put atleast a few hundred jumps on to work on the skills needed to get to a 120 X-braced.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." ianmdrennan 2 #42 April 19, 2005 Well, who knows - maybe the KA 135 will be out by then. If so, that's by far the best step if you're planning on going with a velo eventually. Otherwise I think the XF2 will do nicely in the smaller size but will be loaded up pretty high. Blues, IanPerformance Designs Factory Team
AggieDave 6 #43 April 19, 2005 Those were my thoughts as well as some other really experienced canopy pilots I've talked to. I'll start demoing when I feel like I'm ready, which isn't yet, I still have stuff to work on with what I'm jumping right now.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
