Weege, I am sorry to hear this. Getting the news like that sucks.

My dad has had congestive heart failure for a couple of years, and adult onset diabetes on top of that, and he ain't even fat at all... he'll be okay for a few more years, then it's all downhill... I'm not looking forward to it.

I dunno what to say, except grab as much time as you can with him and hope for the best.

wow. that's terrible. knowing can be good and bad i guess. gives you time to spend together, but knowing that he's sick is tough.

Yeah, I'm heading over to see him as soon as possible. Probably next weekend. He lives a good 5 hour drive from me. Sucks.

Yes, same here. I got it while at work back in 2001 when my mother got sick. I'm a guy, and I had to go rushing out of my office several times to cry, so let it out if you have to, Liz, 'cause that helps a LOT.
