fireflytx 0 #1 April 11, 2005 I F&*king hate mushrooms! They taste like dirt and the texture is weird! Yesterday Brains and I go to this cafe we like to go to on Sundays. Everything on the menu is kick ass. SO I decide to try something new. The Crab Melt sandwich. I get is bite into it and UUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGG it is full of mushrooms. I almost gagged. They weren't listed on the menu as being in the sandwich. Don't you think that is an ingredient that should be listed?????? I hate when restaurants do that! Then today I go to get a cheesesteak and I told them NO MUSHROOMS! I get home and there was mushrooms all through the damn sandwich. I can't win on this mushroom thing.........."Well behaved women rarely make history"
Brains 2 #2 April 11, 2005 I was worried that you were going to throw up on me. Or worse, my food. Never look down on someone, unless they are going down on you.
Skolls081102 0 #3 April 11, 2005 I feel your pain. When I was young, my mother used to pan-fry the white ones in butter- it stunk up the whole damn house. It smelled like rotting feet. The smell alone made me gag. To this day, I have never eaten a mushroom. And I understand about the restaraunt thing- it is so damn annoying when they don't list the mushrooms as an ingredient. I've sent plates back for that before. The sole intention, is learning to fly.Condition grounded, but determined to try. Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies.Tongue tied and twisted, just an Earth bound misfit. kelel01 1 #5 April 11, 2005 I love mushrooms, but they should definitely be mentioned as an ingredient. They're one of those "controversial" ingredients, like onions. Typically, you either love 'em or you hate 'em.

lawrocket 3 #16 April 11, 2005 I also don't like mushrooms. It's a matter of the texture for me, though they can tend to lend a nice flavor sometimes. My wife couldn't believe that I don't like mushrooms, saying they just soak up the flavor of whatever is around them. A few months back, I made a dish using tofu. She said she doesn't like tofu. I recalled the muhroom conversation, and she gave me a gimme for the mushroom one. My wife is hotter than your wife.
