AggieDave 6 #5 April 5, 2005 Go see a muffler shop (not midas and the such, but a hometown muffler shop) about the exhaust system, you might get a better deal. The timing belt, that's annoying, but needed. If it was my car I'd change it myself, but its fairly involved if you don't know about wrenching. Have you checked with some reliable local shops about the timing belt? That's the important thing, since the cadalytic converter doesn't do *too* much except make your car legal to drive, add a little backpressure for the engine and keep your car a bit quieter. I know a lot of rednecks that simply cut out the cadalytic converters and weld in straight pipes...LOUD to say the least and illegal, but in the country no one really cares.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
