I don't know, but I liked the layer that posed naked during that nasty bout with the flu. You looked so vulnerable, and hard :)

I thought you were going strait.:D

I was trying to see how people view their behavior here on DZ.com vs. who they are in person.

Two things jump to mind. One is that, well, this is the internet. We don't know who's going to read it (now or in the future) or how it might come back to bite us, so I'm a bit more reserved on here than in real life. Also, by virtue of the "no personal attacks" rule, I'm a lot less likely to tell someone "stop being stupid" here than I am in real life.

Ya, I have that problem in real life... only my phrase is "fuck off." If people are close to me, they know it's in jest... but people who don't know me so well, don't take it lightly. :P

For the most part what you see here, or at the DZ is my "Happy go lucky" side. Rarely do you see my deep emotional, sensitive side.

so.... what layer are you????

g

One layer. What you see here is what you get in person and vice versa.

I'm way more sexy in person though.

"Layers" is actually a funny term to use to describe people (or even Ogres). It insinuates different identies or changes to the personality. Some people, I guess, might be like that. Showing one style to one group and then changing like a chameoleon to reflect different with another group. But in reality, that person is still the same. The trick is to understand the subtlies of the person to be able to see the person for the big picture... which could include a fun-lighthearted side trying to hijack the thread, the teasing side mentioning the appealing pics previously posted or the deep and meaningful aspect of someone with the desire to feel more thoughtful at that time. Because all of those and then some might be "who" the person really is.
As stated previoulsy, the internet makes some cautious, while other are more bold... and the same person might vary between both of the extremes depending on the topic and their mood/level of emotional committment. So trying to "understand" people on the internet is tricky... because of limited exposure times, variances in mood/understanding of those moods and only relying on the text (thus removing all the nonverbal... excluding the little icon thingies, of course.)
Anyway... that's just my thoughts on layers
(and speaking of layers... I like Parfaits)

I'm pretty much me, here, at the DZ, and in other parts of my "real life." Like others have said, I might be less likely to post something that I'd say in person because it might come back to bite me in the ass (or more easily be interpreted). I'm probably a little more playful/flirty online than in person, but once I get comfortable in person, that side can definitely come out (and it comes out at the DZ or with DZ people a lot!).

Basically WYSIWYG... a goofy smartass with a sensitive, thoughtful, intellectual side.

We all have different layers to our personality... or wear different hat's (so to speak) in different social settings.

For example:

For the most part what you see here, or at the DZ is my "Happy go lucky" side. Rarely do you see my deep emotional, sensitive side.

so.... what layer are you????
