Petty offenses, misdemeanors and felonies - what class are you in?

Recommended Posts

happened to me 6yrs ago:

bought mom a boston terrier (very hyper dog), one night dog would NOT calm down, I ran her a lot but didn't feel like it that night - got a bright idea in my head to get a length of clothesline, tied it to the leash and let her run as FAST as she wanted around the block as I slowly drove my buick and held the leash with my left hand out the window :S - I was SAFE and neighborhood quiet and late....undercover pulls me over makes radio call...lights..patrol cars....onlookers....handcuffs...JAIL!!! :o GET THIS - the local paper published a COMPLETE lie the next day said I was "dragging the dog with leash tied to bumper" - judge read the charge "dragging an animal by car" and everyone in the courtroom gasped..the court reporter lady's hands went up to her mouth :$. This pissed me off so I got a local lawrocket;), proved that I didn't do it (moled bumper/ personal references/ friendly dog warden) ... and won!!! ...
The dog is still alive and loves me when I visit!

and few more 'small' things since then;)

I got a Misdemeanor about 7years ago... I had a chevelle that I was going to put into storage. I had already transfered my plate to my winter car. But I put the plate back on the chevelle to transport it across town to my parents for storage (4miles). Between my parents house and mine a cop ran my plate. He knew it wasn't a Grand prix so he pulled me over. Removed my plate and distroyed it once my story checked out. So a lesson to you. You would be better off driving it with out a plate at all. Neither is a good idea though.

None for me personally, but I've saved some butts in court a few times.

Don't drive while intoxicated. Move near the bars and take a cab.

BUT

Just say NO to searches and field sobriety testing.

When an officer tells you you have a right to remain silent. BE SILENT just after terminating the interview and requesting a lawyer.

I got one of those 20 years ago in San Diego...but it was WORTH it!

A jumping buddy's 40th Birthday...we went to Pacers, a strip club and got
greased...we walked (staggered) out the front door where seeing a squad car parked next to the curb I decided I better go back in and call for a cab...I leaned my buddy up against the wall out front and ran inside...came back out and all hell had broken loose.

Seems he saw the paint job on the police car...thought it was a cab..got in the back and proceeded to blow lunch EVERYWHERE!
:o

I was laughing so hard the cop took me too!
