wingnut 0 #1 March 25, 2005 okay so maybe some of you relised i wasn't here the last couple weeks... probly not though..... so here's my adventurous story of my 4000+ mile adventure...... left utah on the 9th (wednesday) set out for sunshines place in IL for tursday night.... well i arived there on time, well sort on time, i slpet somewhere in nebraska a little to long... saw a truck carrying some kind of nuclear waste or smething, big lead containers with the radiatin symbol stencled onthem..... saw a hovercraft not a cheap home built but a pretty big one on the backof a tailer........ well got to see sunny's apt, man is that place small!!! hecki even got to see the place she works at.... she had all kinds of important work stuff to do, faxes to send, payrol to compile, so i left and headed my wy back over twards ohio, my final destination...... got back to my parents house finally, i was only overloadingmycar by 700lbs of it's GVWR! got it unloaded and prepared for my trip to PA. about 50 miles north of Harrisburg, got a dealon some VHS tapes on ebay but i had to drive my car withthe trailer to pick up all 2500 of them (anyone want to buy some used VHS tapes cheap?) so i pick them up and am heading back on the PA turnpike, lok down to change the radio station, look back up and BAM, something happens, my car is shaking, i'm slowing down, so i pull over to the berm and try to figure out what is wrong, first thought is that mytrailer broke (i was prepared to leave it on the side of the road, i had to be back inohio the next day to catch a flight back to utah) well, the trailer was fine, it was my passenger side rear tire that had blown, so i unhook the trailer, get the spare tire on and then proced to figure out waht i'm gona do.... so what do i do... call my dad for advice... he says i should be okay drivingback on the donut so i procede to drive back 250 miles to ohio pulling a trailer on my spare tire... nothing sucked so bad iny life that doing 55mph on the turnpike at 3am..... so i finnaly make it back home about an hour before i have to leave for the airport for my return trip to utah to pick up the rv and the rest of my stuff in it. so i fly out of columbus to newark NJ.. my god, i hope i never fly into that place again.. the gates are set up spaced out and they have thier own security screeners for each section,it takes forever to get through... and they did it to me again... "sir, you might want to take off your shoes".. all they have toi say is i have to, not that i might want to... so what do they do, they "random" inspect me.. no problmes, but it's just anoying.... some day i think i'm gona dust my soes in gunpowder and take a trip just to mess with em.. or maybe go to the airport barefooted, that would be better, have yet to see a sign that says " no shirt , no shoes, no service" at the airport yet...... okay........... so i getto utah, hop in the rv the next morning and proced to head to colorado springs to visit an old friend..... get there and head downtown to a bar called " the underground" drink, hang out, sing sme kareoke, alol in all a good time, ended up staying 3 night it was so much fun, well and the fact that i didn't want to drive 1300 more miles back to ohio... finally pried myself away from my friends apt and headed "home"... passed a jet/hyroplane/ race boat on the way back, ya know the kind, they always flipover when they go to fast...... and oh, yeah,it rained the whole time.. it sucked........ but i finallymade it home, got the tire fixed onmy car todayand got my computer hooked up with wi-fi so i dodn't have to run a cat5 cable 60ft to the basement where my dad's office is........ moral of this story if yo made it this far.... in 4,000 miles you will: see atleast 3 wierd things, might have a tire blow out, will drinkalot of alcohol, might get to hang out with cool friends yo havn't seen in a while, and maybe even find the meaning of life, or were your life is taking you... that last one... man, my trive was a doozy for that one.... 4000 miles of thinking... andi came up with one certainty....... i don't want to be a truck driver!!!! some pictures from my trip.... i'm not as good as alanaB at taking pictures while driving so i didn't get any of the radiactive waste or the hovercraft or the speed boat, but i did get: wendy- my friend in colorado springs pikes peak- a freaking tall mountain out side of the springs gloomy arch- the St. Louis arch from I-70 Gardenof the gods- the park that is a mile from where i used to live ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"
