flyangel2 2 #1 March 21, 2005 I just got off the phone with Skymama a bit ago. And you could say she is getting a "break" on her vacation A break as in the right wrist Not to worry, she's left handed, and she thinks that the left wrist is only sprained. She'll call me again once the doctors are finished up with her and I'll post an update.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey
AggieDave 6 #2 March 21, 2005 Damn, that sucks! I knew she should have stayed away from those dangerous sports like skiing and stuck to the safety of skydiving. Well, here's wishing her well and a speedy recovery! Can we assume some sort of hot and steamy story about a ski instructor was some how involved in the injury?--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." flyangel2 2 #4 March 21, 2005 She was on the board and said she didn't remember putting her arms out when she fell. She is so upset, cause if the wrist is broken, she'll be out of the air for a few months.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. Mar, thanks for posting this. I hope to read/hear more before my flight later today. Maybe I'll call Andrea before leaving. P.S. I never told any of my friends, but my BF went to Iraq with a severly sprained wrist. (I have no idea how he has been able to do what he has to do in his condition.) At least, you will be able to heal and spend more time with loved ones...right?

davedlg 0 #15 March 21, 2005 Is this going to affect her moderating ability??? Without skymama, we'd have chaos in the forums. DZ.com could quickly degenerate into anarchy without her.

flyangel2 2 #21 March 22, 2005 Well after poor Andrea had to spend hours in the ER, it was discovered that the left wrist has a hairline fracture Because I'm one of those that speaks her mind, I'm sure she was wishing I was there in the ER with her. We would have been in and out within an hour. She has some good pain pills and is heading to bed.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. Poor thing even with just one. thankfully her daughter is old enough to drive her around and help out plus she seems like a pretty levelheaded girl. Heal well Andrea and stick to something less dangerous...like skydiving. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.
