Vallerina 2 #1 March 23, 2005 This is as though someone said, "Here you go. Take this money and go make a fun jump!" Recently, my instructor asked me to perform at an upcoming hafla. I was flattered, and, of course, I agreed to. I've been practicing to a drum solo that I love, and I've been trying to find a top that matches some harem pants that I made (err...assisted my mom sewing.) I really love performing in shows, and I can't believe I'm going to get paid for it! We actually started out as just a fun night of sipping wine and shaking our tushies. Tonight we have a bunch of ladies getting together to actually learn a routine that we might do for some people. Last night, a woman that I had never seen before was in class, so I introduced myself to her, and she started chatting with us regulars for a bit. Class started, and I tend to glance over at people because it's neat to see everyone move. I look over at the "new" lady, and she is an amazing dancer!!! We chatted with her some more after class and found out that she teaches at a Chicago suburb and has been dancing for years. Her mom even danced. She said that she's been wanting to actually take some classes again, and she had been doing a tour of the Chicago schools. She was really impressed with my instructor, and she thought that we were the friendliest! So, she purchased a 10-class block!
