I need a purpose in life . . .

Recommended Posts

:D

. . . And that, my friend, is the whole problem. Post whoring and number crunching. At the end of the day, who have I helped? No one. Boo hiss.

Every 6 months I search for a purpose, and I swear I'm gonna get it one of these next few go-rounds. :D

Well it is obvious that everyones purpose in life is an individual decision. Yes you are a post whore, but I get enjoyment on reading them.

Have you ever thought of getting a coach rating and helping others progress in their addiction?

I really like this one as an analogy for life in general:

From Loren C. Eiseley "The Star Thrower." Harcourt Brace. 1979
Quote

As the old man walked the beach at dawn, he noticed a young man picking up starfish and flinging them into the sea. Catching up to the youth, he asked why he was doing this. The answer was that the stranded starfish would die if left until the morning sun. "But the beach goes on for miles and there are millions of starfish," countered the other. "How can your effort make any difference?" The young man looked at the starfish in his and threw it to safety in the waves. "It makes a difference to this one," he said.

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

part of my purpose in life, is to love and serve others, do everything I can to help them live a more enjoyable life:)
Hopefully, another part of my purpose includes lavishing my love and affections on some lucky man:D,raising children to do good in this world, and I could go on and on;)

Very good point.
I have realized:"I can't save the World but, I can save MY World":)
(as I am now looking into my child's eyes:)
