Ah, man...thought you were part of the 'sexy chain club' like me now.

Well, since you put it that way, I'll have to run to the store and get me a chain.

A MILF with Bifocal's and nothing else???? Hummm.....NOICE!!!

I was thinking that if the hair was ina bun in the back - with the bifocals - that would be a HOT school teacher look.

Love them school teachers.

Cuz - heh - if you do it wrong - they make you do it again and again until you get it right.:D

I went for an eye exam yesterday because my children are tired of reading small print for me. I have to get...bifocals. Bifocals! WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! B|

Andrea, glasses are sexy! (I love mine...um...not these goggles, necessarily. LOL.) Who cares if they are bifocals? You can even play "sexy secretary" or "sexy librarian" with them. Also, try thinking this way...at least, you have the gift of sight, not everyone does, right?

Besides, you can't be old...you're only a few years older than me! ("Waaaaaa"...bwahahaha!) Meh, no big deal...you're still beautiful and lots of fun! Plus, you have wisdom and experience on your side. It's all good, sweetie. B|

Aw, thanks you guys for making me feel better! :)
I'm letting my 16 year old daughter help me pick out new glasses today. She doesn't like the other ones I have that some of you have seen me jump with so I figured this will be a good way to shut her up about my choice and make her feel important.

I asked about contacts and the doc said my vision isn't so bad yet that I need to wear them all the time. He also said the dime-store reading glasses won't do me much good because one eye is worse than the other and I have an astigmatism in it. I will go with the ones without the line in them because he said they are easier to see with when you go from looking at something in the distance to close up.

Sunny, I can only hope to be as cute as you in mine! ;)

If you don't want to wear glasses you could get contacts. I wear one contact for close up and one for distance and it works great, except for driving at night, so I just wear my glasses then.

They make ones these days that you can't even tell are bifocals!

Yes, I know, and I'll be getting those. It's just the fact that they are bifocals. It made me think of my grandmothers who have them!

So - if you are insisting that you are old -

Tell us,

Just how old are you?

39 and 3/4ths! :o

So in about 1/4 of a year, you can celebrate the 11th anniversary of your 29th birthday.

That is NOT old.

Andrea, I'm on my way right now to pick up my new "progressive lenses". I've had the same problem, finally got tired of squinting all the time...I'm looking forward to it, it's gonna be COOL to see clearly again!

Of course, I'm old...;)...but you're still a kid, especially if you're still counting by quarters...:)

I've added some GPS navigation software to may lappy and have gotten pretty good at driving and working with it while cruising down the highway... ;) thinking about driving down to the keys this weekend.

BTW, keep the weekend of April 8-10 open...will probably need your help unloading a truck. :)

I'm too old to unload a truck:ph34r:

GPS? Ya know, I'm thinking about getting one of those. But have no idea what to get. Once I get my tax refund back I'm going to have to look into that. With all the backpacking trips I have planned for this summer, I'm thinking that GPS will be nicer to use instead of a compass.

Mar -

For handheld GPS units, Garmin is one of the best ones out there.

Very handy for just exploring around on foot - set a waypoint for where your campsite is and start walking. When you need to get back, you can either use the backtrack function and retrace your steps, or get a direct route back to the campsite.
