freeflir29 0 #78 September 18, 2004 Quote this place was aweseom when i first moved in 2 years ago. When I was out there it was a nice enough place.......it just seemed that there was a "Ghetto" element that lived in the complex. Get a gated place like where we picked up the guy from the DZ. slug 1 #80 September 18, 2004 Hi JP This story woulda been more fun if the guy had laid in his back seat under a blanket with an H&K USP and surprised the thieves with a dozen-plus-one rounds of .40 cal! Different strokes for different folks, with the non violent approach (remove rotor or battery) you still got a car and a disapointed theif. With your approach your going to spend a lot of time in your car waiting, If you shoot the bad person, the inside of your car will be a mess with blood and guts. Then you'll have to deal with the "legal" system (not my system) for excessive force and pay a lawyer probably more money than the cars worth. Thats win or lose. We had a local guy, law abiding family man chased down the car thief "taught him a lesson" with a gun . the theif is dead the citizen got three yr's. He was the sole support for his wife and kids. The citixen acted on instinct and was sorrry for what he did. the theif was a kid and is dead. Not a win win for the citizen unless you like killing folks, going to jail and watching your family go on welfare. PJ the choice is yours, do whatever floats your boat. Personnely If I was concerned about someone stealing my car, a kill switch or removing the wire from the distributer cap to the coil would work for me. Pisses off the car thief when the car no workee Kind of like owning your own generator so you don't have to complain about the power company not restoring your electricity first. R.I.P. FlailingJohn 0 #81 September 18, 2004 *step from the lurkers shadow to reply to a post* Sorryto hear about your car being stolen. I hope they find it pretty soon. Ever think about getting a standard transmission. Because if it was just punks that stole it. Maybe, there will be on off chance that they cannot drive the thing. I have read cases. Where this happens sometimes in carjackings. The carjacker would get in the car try to unsuccessfully take off but cant because they didn't know how to drive a stick shift Anyways....I had a car stolen about 4 years ago. It was partly my fault because i left the key in ignition. Some punk teenage looking for dope money had hit the jackpot that night and took my car for a joy ride ( This was before they passed the "if youleave your keys in the car and its stolen-you get fined law in texas. ) Overall I didnt think nothing leaving my keys in my car. MY parents lived in the country. who would steal it? Well it turns out that they moved to a county in texas that has allot of proplems with drugs. Particularly "hilly billy speed freaks" MY car was recovered nearly all the windows were broken including the back window. Only thing that was stolen or any value was a cd changer. I did get my cd changer back. The teenagers who had taken it for a joy ride ratted on their friend. The sherrifs office found the stolen property after a search warrant in of his parents house. You would think that my troubles would of stopped there. I had my car back out of impound and being sent off to the shop to be totally reworked and fixed. If anyone in the dallas/fort worth area remeber the downtown fort woth tornados. My car was sent to a body shop that was just east of the old montgomery wards building. The supervisor at the shop told me he saw my car "spin like a top." This unfortunate event had caused the insurance company to total out my car. If the tornado haddn't hit it. I would probably still have the car. I wish. I did because it was paid in full and i didn't have to worry about car payments anyways good vibes and i hope they recover it soon. I am going skydiving today, dammit. the car will be in the impound lot when I get back. I'll thorw an updatre when I get one, I kinda hope the thing is not worth repairing. Take a deep breath go out enjoy yourself look at the bright sideR.I.P.

jtval 0 #90 September 28, 2004 So i go to the impound yard today (GREAT GROUP OF PEOPLE THERE.) first they cant find my car. kinda funny if it was stolen twice! then I am waiting there for 2 fukn hours and they finally figure it out. they bring me to my car and its in one piece(kinda pissed me off) the radio was gone(DUH) again!!!! yes its the second time they took my radio! the insde was ripped apart I.E. steering column, dash, cup holders back seat thats all i noticed upon that inspection. the outside didnt seem to be damaged othewr then the emblems being removed. no broken windows etc... and the tires didnt seem to be worn out(not that you can tear ass around town in a 4 cylinder) so Now i gotta deal with the BS of them rebuilding while I drive the rental etc..and HOPE that the engine isnt FUKT UP. I WISH I COULD FIND THE LITTLE SCUMBAGS (APPARENTLY THEY WERE KIDS) WHO DID THIS!!!!My photos My Videos
