SkySystems Factory Diver with no lens...

Recommended Posts

Well, depends.. Make sure they protect your eyes completely. I'd say either go with skydiving goggles or consult your instructor about the sunglasses, just to be sure.

You can get shaded goggles in allmost any color you like, so i dont see the reason for using sunglasses, other than the coolness factor.

Have fun:)

thank you for the help guys! Can I use crap sunglasses without safety concerns?

Think about how large the sunglass frames are.

I jump my factory diver with regular plastic goggles, but I route the goggles bungee on the outsite of the helmet. I dont like the extra bulk between my head and the padding, always creates a pressure point for me.

I've made a few jumps wearing my sunglasses but didnt care for it as much. while stuffing the frames into the helmet, the sunglasses didnt want to sit on my nose, like I prefer. IF you plan to wear sunglasses, I'd recommend trying them on first, and finding something with a really thin frame, like gators or similar.

I switched to goggles after the non-removable lense completely fogged up at 4000 feet. It was a very helpless feeling. All I could do was wave off, wait a few seconds and dump. That lense became a huge "link in the chain" to me after that. Goggles have worked great.
