OrangeJumper 0 #1 March 8, 2005 I've wanted to get one for the longest time. I came so close last summer. I went to a parlor in Georgetown. I brought a kick ass drawing one of my friends made for me. I had my money on the counter and pussed out at the last second. I wasn't worried about the pain. I was worried that I would get the tattoo and regret it. Any of you that have tats go through the same thing? I really want to get one. What do you all think? Should I quit being a puss or should I listen to the inner voice? The Original Cabana Boy! Conundrum 1 #3 March 8, 2005 Ask yourself why you want one.....?
OrangeJumper 0 #4 March 8, 2005 LMAO....funny you should ask. I don't have a good reason other that I think it looks cool. Maybe it's because 30 is only a year and a half away and I want to do something crazy or different. As if skydiving is crazy or different enough. No good reason other than I know I just want one. livendive 8 #5 March 8, 2005 While on the subject of tattoo's, I've got my 10th sky birthday coming up in July and would like to get some skydiving related ink to celebrate it. The thing is, I want something very original, but I'm a terrible artist. Anyone got any ideas? The only one I've thought of so far would be too big and would probably require a bit too much detail (a 4-stack with known figures that represent different aspects of skydiving, e.g. the Reaper as pilot, Taz representing fun/craziness, a stunning nude woman representing beauty, and, I don't know...someone else, maybe the drunk from that one comic strip in the papers). Anyhow, any ideas from anyone? Whether you could draw it yourself or not? Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" ccowden 0 #6 March 8, 2005 It is really pretty simple. If you are questioning whether you really want one, then don't get one. If you want one, get one. Life is short.

gweeks 1 #9 March 8, 2005 If you're still in the DC area and actually want to go through with it, consider Dave Obloy ("Shooter"). He's a fellow skydiver and also a damn good tattoo artist. Bouda 0 #11 March 8, 2005 JUST REMEMBER!!! tattoos are very addictive one means two and two means 4 at least with me it did oh yeah if you get a tatto get something that no matter what happens to you in life it still has meaning. not just some random flash on the wall Look what i made at work today mom!! complexity 0 #12 March 8, 2005 I think your inner voice is telling you to get it.. you obviously put a lot of thought into it to design a tattoo. i had the same mindset when I was thinking about getting a tattoo for my 30th bday. I had thought about getting one for years and people kept telling me I would regret it when I was older -- but I finally decided why not - I want it god damnn it! ... Well, I have not had any regrets and I love my tattoo. Plus i got another one just two years later. I think that if its something that you have been thinking about/wanting to do for a long time -- and have also had an idea about what you want, then you should go for it.
