Are you allowed to do alcohol? I was in a store the other day that had disposable wine glasses, small bottles of wine, crackers, cheese, chocolates, etc. I even thought that would be the perfect gift for someone who you don't know quite what to get them. I'm glad I could help! :)

I've been running a vendor selection for about a year and have seen all kinds of vendor giveaways. Most of it ... meh.

Pens... I can use. I have a lot that light up and they amuse me. Just make sure the damn things write!

Bags... I have too many cheapass laptop bags. One gave away a cool convertible backpack/shoulder bag that was higher quality than most. That's not a bad idea, or you could get a nice quality backpack.

Golf club ... got a pretty nifty putter that folds up into a zippered case. That's got a high "cool factor" but I'm not much of a golfer so it's sat on my shelf.

Shirts... tend to be pretty fugly, at least the ones I've seen.

Nalgene-type water bottles... not bad.

Trying to remember what else I've seen... I think that's pretty much it. Seeing some of the ideas here, it sounds like my vendors aren't that creative!

Back when I used to travel a lot, I got a cool fold-up travel clock from Starwood's frequent guest program.

We found a pretty cool travel wine/drink chiller that comes with glasses that we might consider. Alcohol is not out of the question, but my boss (AA) tends to toss those ideas out the window. :P

Lovin the feedback everyone!!!

Done most of those as well.... We also give out quartely gifts to our customers, so for the events we try to go a little nicer on the gifts. We like to try and make them practicle/useful items as well, that way stands out in the customers minds.

One of our best gifts so far was a conversion calculator. I know sounds pretty boring, but the business I'm in we are constantly have to convert everything into metrics. I still have customers calling for those...

hmmmm
