BillyVance 34 #1 March 1, 2005 Well, how about it? Any billboards with advertisements or slogans that caught your attention? Here's a couple to start with: "A reminder about digging near power lines - DON'T" And... "Don't make me come down there - God" That's just in downtown Birmingham, AL... Anybody got any they want to share?"Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
AggieDave 6 #2 March 1, 2005 The one with two really annoyingly cute girlscouts holding a couple boxes of Thin Mints with a slogan that said "Resistance is futile!"--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

cocheese 0 #9 March 1, 2005 The Black Velvet Billboard with the tall blond wearing the black dress reminds me of Chaoskitty. Or at least her avitar."Seductively Smooth" the ad says. (not flirting i swear.)
Rebecca 0 #10 March 1, 2005 I mentioned this the other day. Logix billboard: Our CEO is a bigger geek than their CEO. Thought it was cute! you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

MWGemini 0 #12 March 1, 2005 One of the people who jumps at my DZ showed me a picture she took in mexico of some beer billboard or something, with a parachute draped over the top and a skydiver mannequin trying to grab the beer. Pretty funny. Mike
BillyVance 34 #13 March 1, 2005 Who could forget those Chick-Fil-A billboards with the life-size fake cows scribbling 'eat mor chikin' "Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people." - SIX TIME National Champion coach Nick Saban
tigra 0 #14 March 1, 2005 Have you ever seen the ones for DNA testing? 1-800-who's the daddy? or something like that? Do you really need a billboard to advertise that service? There's one (or used to be) on I 55 just southwest of the loop.

hisgoofyness 0 #16 March 1, 2005 My company prints billboards all day long (we are a large format printer)... I will have to make some screen grabs of a few of the funnier ones that are real boards and not works of photo shop. There are some disgusting ones as well... PETA prints some screwed up shiat... We just did one with a bloody sheeps butt... I couldnt help but think of Clay!!! Maybe I can work some magic and print some large banners for Dublin... Goudha is for Buddha, and that's good enough for me!

JakGramley 2 #21 March 2, 2005 Here's one that cost the Hard Rock Casino in Vegas about 1/2 million in fines. It was posted during the Nationals Final Rodeo event a year ago. In case you can't read it clearly, it says "Get ready to buck all night". I thought it was cute! Jack Gramley Computer Consultant
skybill 22 #22 March 2, 2005 Hi Billy, Anyone remember driving to Ghoulidge in the early 80's?? (try to think thru the purple haze!!!) A few miles up from the DZ along side one of those cotton fields was a billboard for some bowlwevil insecticide called "Pounce" and the billboard said "Pounce on cotton insects!" "Someone with the help of some paint, converted the "P" in Pounce into a "B" making it say,"Bounce on cotton (insects). Had to be a skydivers' influence there!! PS. Got a foto of it somewhere in the archives, now to find it!! Also one for the really old skydiving set, there was a Camel cigarette commercial back in the early 60's with world champ (Style and Accuracy) Jim Arender,"The man most likely to fall a mile for a Camel!!" Jim's likeness was on a Billboard up on some building in NYC for Camel cigs. and every few seconds his mouth would blow a hugh smoke ring accross 5th ave.!!!!!!!! Photo was in Parachutist (camera's eye) back then. Gotta dig into the archives for that one too. Anyone else "remember" these two boards??SCR-2034, SCS-680 III%, Deli-out
