jumperconway 0 #26 March 2, 2005 QuoteJust curious... have you actually CALLED and done your research to find out how many have been sold? Ever think that since we have a direct order line, that maybe we didnt brag (not saying those that DID post are braggarts) about our actions and just called the number and ordered one? based on your tone, I doubt it (but I could be wrong). Number one Mr. Asswhipe I called and made the donation and opted out of the bracelet so as all the money went to the cause! I have nothing to brag about. I was only trying to get a drive going! Quit your fukin bitch'n and donate to the cause! I am not a fuk'n braggert, just someone that get's things done!

dzdiva 7 #29 March 2, 2005 Hmm....this is a new approach to trying to get people to help a cause. Trying to be a bully and guilt people into donating. Works everytime....NOT! All the emoticons used in your posts do not hide the true meaning of your words when you responded to other people's posts. I am truly grateful to those who have fought and continue to keep watch so that those of us here can sleep soundly at night. To the families of those who have given their lives I am truly sorry for their loss. How we give our support and the means by which we do is a personal thing. I just received a letter from someone very dear to me who is over there. He was actually getting ready to retire when he was called back up. He was wounded in action. My heart sank as I was reading his letter. He ended it by saying that if he was given the choice of coming home or staying, he would stay. He said it's his duty to his country. It's what he does. While those words don't ease the pain or financial burden of the familes of those who were lost, I think that most of our guys who are serving feel this way. At that moment I was so proud of him. I do what I can for him...write to him, send him little pick-me-up packages and just let him know that there are those of us who appreciate all that they do. He knows I'm here supporting him and will be here when he finally gets home. So, if this way of donating means I have no balls, then so be it. Thank you to all who have served and continue to do so."It's not just a daydream if you choose to make it your life..."

jumperconway 0 #31 March 2, 2005 I apologize to those that feel this was a "bully" post. As to other causes, I posted this on DZ.com because he was a skydiver period. I also understand that there are many struggling students, parents and what not on these boards also. This was just a nudge to those that can. Once again, if I offended anyone I apologize. As for the other post; Quote "This progress is amazing. Cure Autism Now has had a hand in all of it and we have you to thank for making it possible. Your belief that this was an attainable goal and not a fool's errand has made the difference. We remember well the first time Cure Autism Now got a check for $5,000. We wept in gratitude. We still cannot believe the birthdays, weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, car washes, and even memorials that families have transformed into opportunities to raise money for CAN. Our first year we raised $400,000. Last year we raised close to $5 million. Thus far, Cure Autism Now has put over $12 million into autism research. We have funded over 90 research projects (pilot studies, fellowship awards and bridge grants) and created the Autism Genetic Resource Exchange (AGRE). We are so proud of what the families of Cure Autism Now have been able to do in a relatively short period of time. "

I have numerous PMs and emails in corresponding with LouDiamond and Mrs. Roller at Ft. Bragg (doing all the bracelet orders as a volunteer) after the thread was posted by Scott. In addition, I sent out a global request to the Special Forces Association headquarters and most western chapters with the information to purchase the bracelets, which I can assure you will result in many bracelets purchased. I received correspondence from the Secretary/Administrator of the SFA pointing Mrs. Munoz to the Warrior Foundation which grants scholarships to SpecOps KIAs. The Warrior Foundation had already contacted Mrs. Munoz and Pedro's daughter has been granted a full scholarship. It's my understanding the money from the bracelets will be escrowed for her to use for those expenses incurred while at college not covered by the scholarship (books, living, etc.) I will tell you that I puchased several, most of the SF community has purchased bracelets and according to Mrs. Roller numerous skydivers have also purchased them. Her exact words were, "The response has been overwhelming." It's been my experience that most skydivers will come together in a time of need; if not financially then spiritually. However, they may not feel the need to publish their contribution whether of great financial value or in the contribution of emotional support. Hope that helps.Nobody has time to listen; because they're desperately chasing the need of being heard.
