Skydiving and Sex...

Recommended Posts

Oh lord.

You're new here, huh?

Tell you what, type your thread title into the search bar and see what you get. >:(

Regardless of who's more sexual, we sure talk about it a whole lot! :)

you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?

Well, this is definitely a virtual DZ, but they're all different.

They do tend to have a lot in common too though, besides the obvious flying and jumping, and sex/sexuality/openness/flirting/kiss-passing/general debauchery to some degree is a part of almost all of them.

You cool with that? B|

Read DZ reviews and other relevant threads for a while if you haven't already - there's a lot of commentary and useful info.

I think we're as sexual as any large, close-knit group of (unrelated) people who drink together a lot in non-public places (such as hangars). :D

Offhand, the only other things like that that come to mind are Sturgis (the motorcycle convention) and Luxuria parties (for swingers, although I don't know if they drink a whole lot), but I'm sure there's lots of examples of sexually-charged groups of people en masse.

Phew. I'm tired after that one.

Skydiving is an intense experience, and evokes a lot of hormones/brain chemicals. Plus when you jump with someone, you're pretty much trusting them not to do something that will kill you. Sharing that experience with someone is pretty intimate. When you get back on the ground, that intimacy can manifest itself as flirting, physical contact, and, yes, raw animal humping.

As one of my skydiver buddies once told me, "Well, skydivers are a horny bunch." It just goes with the territory.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. --Douglas Adams

Scuba divers are another group. There are other factors than just common interest in the sport.

Scuba is fairly expensive. It involves swimsuits, so you get to check out a lot. You spend a good amount of time on the boat together. It is not a "competitive" sport in that you don't "score points", so people can be more relaxed.

By the way, I'm a female.

I just wondered if women skydivers get hit on everywhere they go or if it was just at our drop zone. In any event, it's fun. It's radically different than my "real" world.

I can't imagine being at a PTA meeting and having someone walk up to me and ask me to show them my "boobies". However, the world might be a more interesting place if those things happened everywhere.

I have only been to 2 dz's but this seems to be the case at both. Once the beer light comes on skydiving is the last thing on most people's minds. :P Well unless of course you are staying sober for a late night flik off of your favorite object. :)

Orange is known across the world as one of the premier naked dropzones. It is not a typical dropzone, but some people like that sort of thing, I used to think it was great...

If you get tired of all the nudity, try going to skydive virginia or skydive the point. They can get crazy sometimes too, but are both a little more family-oriented.

Anyone that thinks skydivers are more ANYTHING than anyone else is a silly egotist.

Skydivers are more apt to jump out of "perfectly good airplanes" then whuffos are.

correct?... or egotistical? ;)

Hehe. What makes us what to huck ourselves out of airplanes? Why I'd say Adrenaline and Dopemine have something to do with it. Iteresting thing about the Dope... Once you're hooked, you always want more... and hey... read below!

Adrenaline:
Most of us are familiar with adrenaline; it causes that "pumped-up" feeling that you get from a rollercoaster ride, or before a game and after a victory. An adrenaline rush simply creates a good feeling. There is a term called "adrenaline junkies" applied to people who strive for an adrenaline rush. Adrenaline is also released when a person has sex or practices self-sex, which can cause one to become an "adrenaline junkie" as well.

Dopamine:
This is a chemical your body uses to make you feel satisfied. There are many different types of dopamine. Your brain releases this chemical after you eat, or drink, or have sex. This chemical is also heightened with practice of self-sex. The problem with this chemical is that, when there are excessive amounts of dopamine, your brain must change its physiology in order to accommodate the high levels. Dopamine collects within the synapses in your brain and generates the creation of more receptors. Therefore, once your brain adapts, you require even higher levels of dopamine to get the same feeling you used to get. And invariably, when your brain cannot produce enough dopamine for the added receptors, you feel even less satisfied. This leads to graduating to harder substances or heightened stimulation to get the same effect. Science has shown that it is possible to recover from these alterations in the brain, but it takes quite some time.

Yeah. We are more Sexual. We kill more kittens before breakfast, then most whuffos do in an entire day!

It is good that you make the choices that are right for you. Never do anything outside of your comfort level. Just like other aspects of your life, you don't get involved with everyone at the office or social clubs.

I don't worry about other peoples actions until they push my boundaries or those of a friend. Any person can tell any other person to BTFU and expect that to happen.

we are a little more experimental i guess you could say

No, you could actually say that we are more sexual.

To begin with, it's said that the average "adrenaline junkie" has an above-average Abdullah Oblongata... that's arguable at best. If true, what it means simply put, is that it takes more "Happy Stimulus" to make us "Happy".

In my previous post, I explained that when a large amount of Dopemine is received by the brain, the brain actually physically changes. It creates more receptors for the juice. I don't need to tell anyone on here that with each and every skydive, this is taking place. With more receptors than the average whuffo, it takes more Dopemine to feel "satisfaction"

Guess what. It's Dopemine that makes you "satisfied" after sex too! And though you are still releasing the same tired amount with each intercourse, after umteen skydives, it admittedly takes much more dopemine to make you... "satisfied" with sex.

To me, there is only one logical conclusion to this... MORE SEX PLEASE B|

They only say that in Middle Eastern regions... the rest of the world calls it a Medullah Oblongata.

Sheesh! Haven't you seen The Waterboy?

It seems like Orange has a reputation.

After I started jumping there, I read the reviews. Being MWC (married with children), I don't know if I would have gone there if I had read the reviews first. I'm not opposed to nudity, but it isn't a big "selling" point for me.

Now that I'm there, it's hard to imagine going anywhere else. The people at Orange are some of the nicest people I've ever met.
