I just talked to Laurie who said he has extreme internal bleeding, compound fractures of both legs and a crushed pelvis. His family is with him thankfully since I am all the way across the US and can't be there for him like he was for me. Please, Please send good vibes and prayers to Eric. mouth 0 #21 July 20, 2003 UPDATE... Eric's mom has had a team of specialist brought in so he has the best possible care. They have moved Eric to a second round of surgery which they are saying is a good sign. I understand Eric and a friend were doing a downplane and took it low. Eric wound up going downwind when they broke and was headed right for another jumper. He made a quick low turn and wound up basically impacting with his main. The other jumper shut down his canopy and hit hard but was unhurt. It is going to be a long night for him and his family. Keep them in your thoughts. Also the guy who was doing the downplane with Eric is understandably upset at all of this.
