Good vibes for Eric!!

Recommended Posts

Not mad at all...just glad for the good news. Of course the fact he is "high" should make for some interesting conversations so I can't wait to hear what he is saying.

Hey Mouth, I tried calling you before posting this, so don't be mad...

Eric is awake and talking!!!! I just spoke with his sister, and he's talking 90mph...making up for the last 19 days!!!
:)Unfortunately, there are still no visitors because he's in CCU...but hopefully that means he'll be moved out of there soon!

I'll keep you guys posted!!!

That is extraordinarily AwEsOmE!!!! B| Does he remember anything that happened???

Weekend update...

Eric had a setback today. :( After being "awake" and talking for 72 hours he is now back on the vent assist and had to have 3 units of blood. There is some infection somewhere that they feel is causing the problem.

I'm sure this is but one of many ups and downs that Eric will face during his recovery, but I know he is strong enough to face this challenge and pull through.

Sending {{{{HEALING VIBES}}}}

<<<<>>>>

*****Prayers*****

and of course lots of blue skies.

OOPs...I forgot that I couldn't get the server to take my post Monday night.

They now believe it was a reaction to a medication they gave Eric that caused the setback Sunday. He was awake enough to write Monday and make his wishes known, and I believe they were going to take him back off the vent yesterday if all was well.

I should get an update tonight and I'll let you know what I find out. Thanks for the warm thoughts and concern. :)

Latest update...Good News, Bad News

Today (this afternoon), Eric is having surgery to finish closing up his abdomen! This is good news!

As for the bad news, he's got a staph infection [:/]
It's treatable but it's just going to be really hard for his body to fight it!

So, once again Eric needs some good vibes and prayers!

I am sure I speak for everyone when I say it is so great to get these updates on Eric's condition. (Many from Laurie and Lisa) It's such a piece of mind to hear about his progress with challenges we all know he will only overcome. Thank you! If you have a chance could either of you let him and his family know I think of them often and would like to be there to help if ever needed. I can see there is an abundance of support in his corner already... however I hope you'd still let me know if there's anything I can do. Thanks and LOTS of LOTS of LOTS of good strong VIBES!!! - Trish :)

Eric is not out of CCU yet! He's doing much better! He's off the vent and talking (and not delusional either). A couple of days ago we even discussed the "accident".
Today they may even take the feeding tube out!! But he's still fighting a couple infections and a bout of pneumonia. He's still not allowed visitors because of the high risk of infection! I'm still visiting him every day (per his family's request), so if you would like any messages passed along just let me know. Thank you to everyone for understanding and I promise I will let you know when you may visit!!
