ringo79 0 #1 April 29, 2009 I came across a 2nd hand "Sky Sport container" and was wondering if anyone has heard of them. I emailed the company in Serbia and they told me that the ETX range is the same as the Vector3 and that all Vector 3 parts would fit in the ETX. How well do you think the quality would be and is it risky buying a "no name" product? First link has pictures of the ETX range but its in Serbian and second is all there products http://www.skyblue.co.rs/products/Etx000 and http://www.skyblue.co.rs/products/
riggerrob 643 #2 April 29, 2009 Quality is probably almost as good for a fraction of the price of a genuine Vector. Whether you will be allowed to jump it depends upon the attitude of the Australian Civil Aviation Authority. Some countries (eg. Canada) have "liberal" attitudes towards parachute testing and certification and quality control records. Other countries (eg. USA) have rigid laws (FARS) banning anything but parachutes that are specifically certified to Technical Standard Orders. IOW you can only jump parachutes with TSO labels in the USA. The good news is that Australia, New Zealand, Canada and South Africa have adopted American TSO standards. so you can legally jump their gear in the USA. The European Union briefly certified skydiving parachutes to American TSOs, but laer restricted TSOs to only pilot emergency parachutes. Go figure???? sundevil777 102 #3 April 29, 2009 They didn't copy everything. The way the reserve top flap tucks into the lower flap is different than a Vector.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

Wrong, in EEC the standard as never been the TSO but just follow the AS8015/b as technical standard. In France the QAC 121 use the same technical standard as the TSO-C23d. But to obtain an US FAA TSO we must submit the full file to the FAA to get it and it can be long. Same for US manufacturers if they have a TSO-C23d they must apply for a QAC 121 for import.Jérôme Bunker Basik Air Concept www.basik.fr http://www.facebook.com/pages/Le-Luc-France/BASIK-AIR-CONCEPT/172133350468
