Well, it held to the story very very well, that I'll give credit to. What it didn't have was good acting.
Unfortunately Douglas is no longer with us so he can't help with this movie. I only hope they stick closely to the book.

The BBC version was DEFINITIVE. This one can only hope to be as good.

Come on, I loved Dr. Who, read the rest of the thread for my other response explaining why I didn't like the BBC THGTTG.

On the flip side, I freak'n LOVE British comedies. Not just a wanna be that says "Oh yeah, I like 'the holy grail'" and that's all they've seen.

whohoo! I am excited to see this. I must have read the books a hundred times(okay about 8 times). I never saw the series so I cannot comment on them. Hopefully the movies stays true to the books. I guess I will have to reread the book again since I did not reconize all the scenes in the preview. Whoohoo off to the books.
