I love South Africa, it'll always be home to me and i will have my ashes scattered in its skies one day. However, i'd like to travel and live in various other countries during my life. Right now i'd like to live in LA or somewhere in Cali that's within driving distance from Perris. The reason i don't live there? Cos it's frikkin difficult to get a visa! Will marry for greencard too, any offers? :D

I would love to live on the beach and in warm weather 365 days of the year 0- and just travel to cold places for the change of seasons. So, southern California sound quite nice. As does living on a boat and going from island to island...:)
Questions: For those of you who lives in Southern California and near the beaches.. is it worth all the craziness of LA, the people, and the traffic?

I got a place to live that's close to work so I don't have to sit on the freeways every morning and evening. And longer drives (to the dropzone, or campus) just take some timing to avoid the traffic. I find that true of most big cities.

Having more people around does take it's toll on parking availability for every day stuff, and the touristy type places. The beaches, however, have been pretty accessible, and you can get away and go on a day hike just outside the city and see very few people.

The real downside? It's expensive.

I want and plan to move to SoCal after college, that is, if all my plans work accordingly.B|
I may meet a guy here in Okieville:S, who may want me to stay; but, I'm still moving to Cali!!!
The beach, dropzones, ah!
Florida and Airizona sound great too; we'll see.

Australia! Preferably Sydney, but anywhere is fine.

Anyone want to hire me down there so I can get a visa?

I would love to live in Z-hills in one of the houses edging the golf course on the south side of the DZ.

Reason I'm not there yet: I have in for a transfer for one of my companies locations which IS in Z-hills
(I could bicycle to work)

*even if I DID'NT skydive, it's central to every thing I like including family.

I've got an offer, how about my ex-wife? And if you hurry and close the deal, I'll throw in a finder's fee.
Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

I'd love to live in a cabin a couple miles from the coast south of Big Sur - somewhere around Lucia or Gorda for those of you who know the area.

Why? Because it's freaking beautiful.

I don't live there now because I've yet to figure out how to make a living in a cabin miles from "civilization." Well, a legal living anyway...

Sarah,
Your Nuts!
Socal? you know how much it cost to live there? you check the prices of houses? gas?

So cal is nice, but like all places it has its pros and cons. Weather is awesome, but cost of living is expensive. Also the traffic here SUCKS, you have to plan around it. It can take you 45min plus to travel 15 miles during rush hour.

Back on topic if I could live anywhere I would chose Italy. Spent 4 months there and loved the people, weather, and food. How are the DZs there though.

I have to travel a lot for work and have spent time in most all parts of the country. I really haven't found a place that "all-around" is as cool as Colorado. There's certainly alot of places that I enjoyed, but for one reason or another, wouldn't want to move there. If I were to move though...Arizona would definitely be my first choice!

my 2 cents..

Hi Mike!
Of course I'm nuts! :P What's wrong with a single girl, no attachments, moving someplace hot and sunny, w. beaches, and plenty of places for skydiving, huh?
California is the plan...however, I may meet some one or find a job in Arizona, so I'll just wait and see what happens when I graduate fall2006:)
