GiaKrembs 0 #1 February 11, 2005 We are having a pot luck for my Grandmas 80th birthday (I am planning the event), and everyone keeps asking for ideas on what to bring.... Other than the obvious ideas (salads, chips n dips), can you all help me out with good / creative dishes that do not need to be heated. Off the top of my head: Deviled eggs California Rolls Nuts Veggie Wraps Spinach Bowl Pickled Cucumbers Nuts Trail mix Thanks, g edited to correct appetizer... Nightingale 0 #4 February 11, 2005 hmm... my mom does a variation on chips/dip. She got some clam dip from the deli (but it'll work with any seafood dip or spinach dip), hollowed out the center of a large king's hawaiian bread loaf, put the bowl with the dip inside the bread, and then arranged the pieces from the hole around the side, so you just grab the bread and dip. It tends to disappear quickly at parties.

Sebazz1 2 #8 February 11, 2005 You know you could also put some crab meat or smoked crab meat in the endives too. Have like half with goat chease and balsamic and the other half with crab meat and I don't know what I'd put on the crab meat. Maybe just more dressing.
