You can do boytoy safely, but you have to be careful who you pick to be your toy. Hang out and listen for guys talking about their conqests at the last DZ boogie then cross them off your list. 1st rule of toys, they are ment to be seen and not heard.

I've had toys that lasted years, and I've had serious commitment. My pookiebear and I have been together almost 4 years and he is wonderful, while he doesn't skydive anymore he is into enough other activities that if I wanted to jump it wouldn't be an issue. I'm very glad I didn't listen to advice like the one guy who said to never date from the DZ pool, otherwise I'd be with some boring engineer. *BLAH*

To hell with the other guy....you broke up, and therefore have every right to date again, no matter who or where. Do what makes YOU happy.

However, dating every guy on the dz prolly isn't a good idea.

I dated someone at my DZ when I was a student. We're still friends, although he doesn't jump much anymore (nothing to do with me, just got burned out). It was a few months before I dated someone else.

If you are respectful to yourself, your partner and your friends, then there's no need to exclude anyone.

I met the woman who eventually became my wife at my home DZ. If you're looking for a long term relationship, it'd be dumb to exclude people from your biggest social group.

Hi Beverly-
I agree w/ most people here when they say if you get into a relationship at the dz and it turns out bad, you might find yourself in an ackward position. I've sorta dated 2 skydivers, they weren't at the same dz though.
I think DZ relationships can work, but realize if you do date a bunch of guys gossip may start to circle about you; some people may start to lose respect for you.
Who knows, maybe you'll meet a fellow skydiver some day at a boogie and you'll get to jump together all the time and maybe even get married some day; I personally think that would be a great experience but I'm not holding my breath for any guy. I'm pretty picky when it comes to dating so I doubt I'll be dating anybody soon.

If you do meet a super cool skyboy, make sure he's going to respect you and treat you well.
