VanillaSkyGirl 6 #1 February 3, 2005 Yesterday, I went rushing in to a photo store as it was closing to get my Visa pictures (like passport pictures) taken. The lady decided not to charge me anything. HUH??? I hugged her. I was low on cash because I have recently lost my wallet, so I am still waiting for my new cards. She didn't even know that and was just being nice. About 15 minutes later, I went to a new drive-thru that opened up since I was tired and hungry. I was given free large fries. I usually give things back (I get free fast food mistakenly give to me quite a bit), but this time, I accepted them. Anyway, I felt a little guilty, but these little freebies cheered me up. Anyone have any similar stories of little freebies, like those. Big gifts are good, but little freebie things are just so unexpected and fun.
SkiD_PL8 0 #2 February 3, 2005 I would be curious to know if the person working the drive-thru was a man or woman. I went out with friends to a nice restaraunt in my hometown one time and when our checks came mine had a note on it saying it was taken care of and to look on the back, on the back was our waitresses name and phone number. I ended up dateing that girl for a few months, I really liked the fact that she took the initiative. Greenie in training.
skygod7777 0 #3 February 3, 2005 the coolest thing that ever happened to me like this was when my dad still had our dz (he also was the FBO for the airport). so one day this jet flys in to connersville because the weather of indianapolis was bad, the people in the jet really needed to get to some meeting but there were 7 of them on the jet, one of the jumpers at the dz said they could rent his car and just bring it back with a full tank of gas, so 5 of them jump in the car and go, the 2 "big shots" (it seamed like anyway) decided to stay back and wait for them to come back........well the weather cleared over indianapolis, and the pilots decided they could get in now, but now the car would be stuck at the airport, so the 2 "big shots" decide that john could go and take one person with him, luckly i was standing right there, so i volunteered myself to go the best part about the whole thing is, me, john and 5 or 6 others from the dz where going over to indianapolis to go to jillians (restaurant) anyway later
VanillaSkyGirl 6 #4 February 3, 2005 Both men and women helped me at the drive-thru. Honestly, it has happened a lot at fast food places. Once I was given a meal for 8 people, when I had paid for one. I gave it all back. Something as insignificant as free fries are not going to get anyone anywhere with me, though. It may have been a mistake or it may have been on purpose. Who knows? It just made me not have such a bad day...that and the free pics. Also, I enjoyed a VERY nice evening visiting my parents and grandmother. My younger brother was coincidentally also there visiting, and we had such a nice time. AND...that night, I found in my mail that a lovely, unexpected gift had been sent to me by a friend. It's sooo nice to get little, unexpected gifts. It made me so happy. When I worked at Carl's jr, we were instructed to throw away any food a customer handed back. Something about health dept. rules. So, I never bother to give back food, because it's probably going to be tossed anyway. I had a really bad day the other day too, because school is getting harder and I was freaking out about about not being prepared for my classes all day. And I was thinking about the fact that I hadn't yet bought an outfit for the naughty cupid boogie and that I probably wouldn't have time to go get something.... And I walked in to my apartment, relieved to be home finally, and my fiance was there with a kiss and a smile (both gifts in themselves) and he walked me over to our table and there was a white rose and the cutest little pink corset to wear to the boogie. I hadn't said anything at all about it that day, and he seemed to have read my mind. Yay for random acts of kindness!!! mua! Brie"Ive seen you hump air, hump the floor of the plane, and hump legs.
