Man oh man, its gotta be rough being a chick on the DZ...or worst on a DZ on the internet.

I only had one DZ.com "stalker" and it was just a playful joke that she wanted to just keep in touch and was a gentle/nice person who liked to talk to her friends. I still miss her even though time has moved on, she was a nice friend to have.[:/]

now why do you say that Aggie Dave?
because going to the dz is like going to a dessert buffet, seeing all these yummy, fattening, tempting SWEETS?

It's not that bad... but I have just had ... 2 pretty crappy experiences with it.... but *shrugs* eh, it doesn't happen anymore....

When I started jumping I was 18 years old and oh so ignorant to many many worldly things .... heh, I'm not that much older now... but I'd say that skydiving (and growing up) in general has taught me a lot.... 'toughening up' and learning how to properly handle attention are probably 2 of the most relevant to this issue....

I'm doing something all wrong here. I've never had a stalker!!!!

Me neither, but I'm thinking that's probably a good thing.

I'll settle for a not-so-secret admirer. It's only fun till someone whips out a restraining order, though.

Once you meet a few dz.commers in person, at boogies and such, you'll find that there are some amazing people around here.

Looks, dating, etc aside - there are excellent friendships to be made. B|

Very true. But there are some weird ass MFs around too...:|
Other than me, of course...:S

I must scare people, cause I never get random PMs.

Oh wait, change that. I do get some hate PMs. Those I save for blackmail:ph34r:

Edit to add: Random PMs from men I don't know.

I've got about 200 posts and about 1000 PMs in my inbox and the only ones I have from a female are a few from the lovely Rosa and one from skymama in reply to a gear question. In all fairness though 99% of them have all been really nice just friendly chit chat which i don't mind at all and i've gotten to know a few people fairly well through simple PMing most days. it's just nice to have people to talk to while i'm at work. i'm pretty shy when it comes to forums and things where i don't know people so i don't post much but i like talking a lot. Sometimes i just go through the 'who's online' myself and randomly message any name there 'cos i'm bored and feel like seeing how someone else thinks. it has nothing to do with who they are or what they look like, i'll just pick a name that stands out. i hope they don't mind... i've never had anyone get angry but who knows, maybe they secretly think i'm some stalker haha.

Gotta love the leg humpers As a male I have to say sometimes it is pretty sad to watch the men swarm every single woman that shows up at the DZ.

hey! >:( not every single woman gets swarmed at the dz! >:(
haha, I think it's kinda funny, until the guy just wants to use someone

edit to add: personally, I don't really care that much, but I may start sending signals to guys who I don't want to have anything to do with[:/]

I've gotten a handful of creepy PMs from random guys that don't post often.

They usually start with "Hey, you're picture is HOTTT - come to the "XXX" boggie so we can hang out".

Then I reply and tell them the picture isn't really me.

I love squishing dreams :D:ph34r:

I learned a long time ago to keep pictures of me off the 'net as much as possible and not put out really personal information for others to see - it always comes back to bite you in the butt. And its usually a hard lesson to learn [:/]

Great! You might as well tell everyone I'm using your portrait as my avatar! And to think that everyone thought it was me and I was hot and stuff...:|
