alanab 0 #10 January 25, 2005 did anyone see how crappy sophias exit was? she had her knees all curled up and the TI had to pull her legs out for her and she never uncrossed her arms! HAHA!
jeffmullins 0 #11 January 25, 2005 Maybe if the girls hadn't walked the entire race they would of done better I dont understand why they had them go skydiving though, it didn't affect the time at all.

kelel01 1 #14 January 25, 2005 Yeah-- they should have had the tandems race head down. Tandem VRW would've been awesome. . . . And the whuffos would have totally gotten it, too.
chaoskitty 0 #15 January 25, 2005 QuoteDoes anyone know who the tandemmasters and camera flyers were? It looked like they were at Skydive Santa Fe. I didnt know there was a Skydive Santa Fe.
PhreeZone 20 #16 January 25, 2005 That was the Perris Shark. I thought I saw Craig O'b in the back ground while loading up. I saw LOTS of Firefly jump suits. Its a quick shuttle flight to get from Perris to Santa Fe. I'm pretty sure that was a tandem and video crew were Perris based. They are the typical first DZ called for Hollywood stuff. That was probally the single worst tandem exit I can recall... and I had some REALLLLLLLY crappy exits my self. alanab 0 #18 January 25, 2005 oh, and what was up aith the oxygn? did they do a high alti jump and i missed that part?
jeffmullins 0 #19 January 25, 2005 I was wondering the same thing myself? They competitors said they were jumping from 10,000 so they shouldn't need oxygen.
chaoskitty 0 #20 January 25, 2005 NM is about 5,000 feet msl, I think.. but knowing MTV its probably for the drama wussies in the plane. Not everyone was using it.
PhreeZone 20 #21 January 25, 2005 Santa Fe is actually over 7000 feet MSL. That would put them at about 17000k for jumping. O2 is required to be availble at that altitude. I've climbed some 10k an 11k peaks north of there, absolutely hot as hell in the desert in July. I admire the hell out of the TM's for damn near standing those landings up in the middle of summer at 7000+ feet landing elevation. That would have density altitude of probally 10k-12k+ feet. DOH! I'm pretty sure that Jim Wallace was the guy doing the talk to about how to exit and he was catching the last tandem.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
