A line with 2 small loops in it hooks over it. Gives you more of a grip to close a contianer. The first time I heard the term, I thought the exact same thingSomething like a cabana boy. councilman24 37 #6 June 15, 2009 I know what a power tool is. The successor to the wooden toggle I used to use with my pull up for my strato cloud in a strato star container and the delerin 1.5" diameter rod with a locking slot (my invention) that I use for reserves. I don't think those dimensions are crucial, as long as it will fit through the grommets and loops, and fit your particular hand.
kingbunky 3 #8 June 15, 2009 i made one for myself, out of brass. i found an appropriate diameter rod at the hardware store and cut a piece slightly longer than the width of my hand at the base of my fingers. i made two marks on it, so that one was between my 1st and second finger, and the other between the 3rd and 4th where i wanted it to groove. another way to look at it is i wanted the rod supported across my whole hand, with one finger outside the lines at either end and two between them. to cut the grooves, i chucked the rod into an electric drill, braced is on a bench, turned it on and held a file against it to cut the grooves for the line. this is why i went with brass, stainless is too hard to work this way. a drill press and a better file would probably make the stainless workable. i made the line out of cypres cord. of course, i could have bought a new one for $20 and saved myself some work, but it was winter and there aren't any gear stores handy. plus it was a custom fit! it lasted about 2 years before i broke it."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." I wanted to prevent: What's a packboy?- A powertool What's a powertool? - A pullup cord with a handle A pullup cord with a handle? How's that work? - And on and on and on...."There are NO situations which do not call for a French Maid outfit."
