ECVZZ 0 #1 January 20, 2005 So.... I have about $350 to spend this weekend, and I need an audible. A gear bag would be nice too, but I've done without one for this long, so I'm really undecided. I know the pro's and con's of Pro-track vs Pro-Dytter, but I'm not sure if the logging capability of the Pro-track justifies the extra $120. Decide for me. G. Jones "I've never been quarantined. SkydiveNFlorida 0 #2 January 20, 2005 keep an eye on the classifieds... used dytters and protracks pop up all the time. Be the first to e-mail and you'll get one:) I got my pro-dytter for 100$ in the classifieds. It is in great conditions, looks new, works great! I got my protrack for 170$ in the classifieds. It looks worn but it works perfectly:D -A

Mindcake 0 #4 January 20, 2005 Don´t by either....get a Neptune from Alti-2 I have a pro trac and a Neptune and I feel the Neptune has more functions than a pro trac I especially like the swoop alarms...I would not even consider a pro-dytter because the other untis have features and benifits that you will find useful.. just my 2 cents Jim Don´t belive the hype

Nightingale 0 #9 January 20, 2005 neptune. does everything a pro-track does, but much more intuitive. It's easy to figure out how to work it.
dtthorne 0 #10 January 20, 2005 I just recently spent the money on a gear bag and pro dytter. I will probably get a neptune sometime soon as well but in the meantime, my alti-2 works just fine! I have about 50 jumps now with the pro dytter and I have been surprised by how much I like it. As far as the gear bag goes, I used to show up at the dropzone with gear hanging off all limbs and making multiple trips, now I just make one and all my stuff is stored nicely whether I am at home or at the dropzone! Good luck and have fun!
skydiverjerry 0 #11 January 20, 2005 get a second hand dytter and use the rest to jump to test the dytter just one thought dytters are an aid to indicating opening altitude please dont rely on it, (i,m sure you all ready new that) blue skieslife is a journey not to arrive at the grave in a pristine condition but to skid in sideways kicking and screaming, shouting "fuck me what a ride!. Travman 6 #12 January 20, 2005 Quoteneptune. does everything a pro-track does, but much more intuitive. It's easy to figure out how to work it. I can't say I have used a neptune, or even seen one - but the protrack certainly isn't an intuitive device. If you buy a second hand one, make sure it comes with the manual!
