freeflir29 0 #2 January 17, 2005 QuoteThank you for reminding me about why I won't jump without insurance.... No doubt! Quickest way to ruin your financial standing for the rest of your life. I AT LEAST got a temporary major medical policy after I got out of the military. I have seen way TOO many people screw themselves.
Sheenster303 0 #3 January 17, 2005 I have insurance, but I still have a shit load of medical bills to pay. My insurance only pays 60 percent. Not TOO bad, but bad enough since I wasn't able to work for four months. Now I'm busting my ass working and I have no time to keep up the physical therapy on my ankle. It's starting to hurt constantly now instead of every now and then. When will the pain stop???I'm so funny I crack my head open! P.M.S. #

sunshine 2 #5 January 17, 2005 $18744.44 for everything. Well not including the co-payment on my meds + the $100 fee to change my flight home to IL cause the doc in CA wouldn't let me fly the next day. And i was unable to work my 2nd job and do any rigging. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!

That's not even including the doctors, x-rays, anesthesiologists (sp?), ambulance, physical therapy, etc... Probably added up to about 40-45,000. Totally sucks! Insurance helps, but medical bills still SUCK!I'm so funny I crack my head open! P.M.S. #
bigway 4 #10 January 17, 2005 in new zealand we pay maybe 25% tax, we do not get medical insurance. if we need anything done at the hospital we get ACC and that pays the bills and then it also pays us the money we lose by not working. You guys get a bum deal with or without insurance but i guess with so many people in your country you are to expect that....i feel for you guys if you forget the insurance. .Karnage Krew Gear Store . ahegeman 0 #15 January 17, 2005 I'm sure there are plenty of old threads in SC we can resurrect to debate this without getting Val's post moved.--------------------------------------------------------------- There is a fine line between 'hobby' and 'mental illness'. --Dave Barry
bigway 4 #16 January 17, 2005 no we are paying for medical care we use, who does not use medical care in their lives? we have a fantastic system and do not need to worry about to much. For you to say that is a bad thing that we pay 25% tax, i dont understand, it is not much? how much tax do you pay in the states? our prescriptions cost bugger all as well. I dont see how this could be a bad thing. where does your tax money go? to war and blowing up other countries just to admit there are no WMD.....i think our money seems to go on thing a bit more worth it for our citizens.......anyway off to SC .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
