Sheenster303 0 #2 January 15, 2005 I've always thought of skydivers as being more analytical. With all the math and physics ya gotta do with skydiving, I would definitely think it would be that way.I'm so funny I crack my head open! eeneR 3 #3 January 15, 2005 Im way to analytical.... However i have learned that is a HUGE ASS PROBLEM in this sport..... See sig line.... ChasingBlueSky 0 #4 January 15, 2005 I've always been an analytical type - love math, science and computers. They are logical and are easy to understand. Been doing those type of jobs my entire life even thou every career test I have taken has told me to be creative and work with people. I'm starting to take that to heart and finding I'm happier being creative with some new ventures I am entering into._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... Amazon 7 #5 January 15, 2005 I tend to be fairly analytical. I do not mind doing "interesting" things in life as long as I have a reasonable expecation of escaping relatively painfree from said activity. So far it seems to be working... I have survived a LOT of really "interesting" activities in this lifetime.
skysprite 0 #6 January 15, 2005 I'm both. Life in general finds me being more creative than analytical (math and science just aren't my thing). However I've been smacked numerous times for overanalyzing my jumping. Like eeneR, I've been told to stop thinking and fly, but that seems so hard because I don't already know what it's supposed to feel like. It's so easy for those of you who already know how to do something to say "just DO it!" *cough*Kramer*cough*. It sure is nice when I can finally just do something and "get it" though.~skysprite
Kramer 0 #7 January 16, 2005 Quotesay "just DO it!" *cough*Kramer*cough*. It sure is nice when I can finally just do something and "get it" though. When you do get it, you'll understand why I said "just do it". Like doing a barrel roll. Is there a "right" way to do it that someone could explain to you? Sure. But in my mind, "just do it" isn't terrible advice (well, yea it is, but you shouldn't ask me for advice anyway). FLY! The FAKE KRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMER!!!!!!!!! windcatcher 0 #8 January 16, 2005 I'm more creative than anything, which to me is a little bit of down way to be in this sport. I wish I could understand things in skydiving better, if I were more left-brained than right I would think packing, flying, etc would come more natural. Oh well, I still know how to be safe and HAVE FUN, which is what I'm all about. Mother to the cutest little thing in the world...
Superman32 0 #9 January 16, 2005 There was a thread not long ago about personality testing. I think most people were analytical. I don't have a creative bone in my body. Well, I take that back, I have a bone and I can definately be creative with it Inveniam Viam aut Faciam I'm back biatches!

gordy 0 #11 January 16, 2005 I would be inclined to say analytical, with the number of IT, engineers, doctors, mechanics etc that I have met while jumping, but I have also met artists, writers etc although slightly less of them, I reckon skydiving just attracts all sorts. Part of the attraction I think
popsjumper 2 #12 January 16, 2005 I would venture...both depending on discipline. Analytical: Deland Majic Creative: Sugar Gliderz Hmmmmm.....formation skydivers analytical and Freeflyers creative? My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus. cocheese 0 #14 January 16, 2005 There seems to be a lot of engineer types in this sport, and fewer artistic types.I'd say it takes both to be a happy skydiver. One side keeps you alive and the other trait gets you with the beauty of it all.Think fast and smile.

GeordieSkydiver 0 #18 January 17, 2005 QuoteJust curious. Are skydivers generally more analytical, or creative? Math and Science vs. Art and Literature? I think both. If you have a malfunction you need to be analytical and deal with it, if that doesn't work, its time to get creativeLee _______________________________ In a world full of people, only some want to fly, is that not crazy? http://www.ukskydiver.co.uk
smiles 0 #19 January 17, 2005 I am very creative, enjoy challenges...have good conceptualization along with analytical production skills. SMiles I choose rather admit that I know what little I know, and confess that I do not know that which I do not know....for that is the beginning of knowledge. Peej 0 #20 January 17, 2005 He he he, good answer! Me personally, i'm in a creative field and think of myself as a highly creative person but there are times when i tend to be too analytical and over think things up there. Sometimes you need to just fly. Advertisio Rodriguez / Sky
