haniel32 0 #1 January 12, 2005 I'm going on a ski trip in canada this weekend. Should I bring my own booze or get it there? Is the beer cheeper in canada? Can I get beer accross the border? What type of beer is good up there? Face first landing YET again! "I thought I flared" Grass tastes great!!!!!

DeNReN 0 #3 January 12, 2005 You will find beer and booze more exp up here...the taxes see to that ....when in rome do as the romans(drink our beer)....I am sure you will be pleasantly suprised( and prob under the table if you drink it like american beer)..what kind of beer is good ...depends on your tastes and what part of the country your going to. Have a great trip and remember.....dont try and out drink a Canadian
wildWilly 0 #4 January 12, 2005 Booze is definitely not cheaper here. But the beer is better than that pony piss you guys call beer down there. Molson Dry is one of my favourites and it's 5.5% so watch it. I would suggest a stop at the duty free store if you are driving. Have fun on the slopes, ride hard, take chances. Where are you going? Willygrowing old is inevitable, growing up is optional.
adamjenner 0 #5 January 12, 2005 Trust me canada booze kicks the shit out of american (well MDG is good but a nice keith's is better) so prepare yourself for what REAL beer tastes like. EDIT: and like Den said, don't try to drink a canadian under the table we're drinking machines

Remster 30 #10 January 12, 2005 Quoteyou have to go to goverment run liquior stores to buy it.. BZZZZ! Wrong! Depends on the province and the booze. In Alberta, its all private. In Quebec, liquor and good wine is in the gov agencies, beer in corner stores and groceries, same with cheap wine. BC, I dont remember... As for Newfieland, you neet to kiss the cod 1st.Remster

Andrewwhyte 1 #12 January 12, 2005 You can buy beer and wine at the corner store (they call it the Dep). It will be more expensive than in US but not that much. Go to the duty free store on youe way through the border to save money.
Remster 30 #13 January 12, 2005 QuoteI'm Going to Mont Tremblant for a week. SkyDekker 1,465 #15 January 12, 2005 QuoteI'm Going to Mont Tremblant for a week. I was there for a long weekend this past December. Bring lots of cash!!!!!!!!! On the resort, everything is roughly 3 to 4 times what you would normally expect to pay. Hence 4 coffees and a hot chocolate ended up around $15 for example. However, when ever I get the itch it's usually 2-3 24oz bottles of Corona, Heineken, Becks, Fosters or good ole pint of Jack Daniels.
