Avion 0 #9 January 11, 2005 Go to Sugarloaf Mountain, its a great ski resort, south west of Bangor. If you like the country side have a look at the little town of Eustis, a ways from Sugarloaf. There are a couple of places I like called Cathedral Pines(big giant pines) and Flagstaff Lake. That's the lake with the town at the bottom of it. You can still see the road go right into it Some of the islands off the coast are neat, I went to Swans Island. They get very few visitors durning the winter season. You'll get some strange looks, for being the only stranger there

jumper03 0 #11 January 11, 2005 Quote i've already been told i should go visit bar horbor...... okay...first off, it's BAHHHH HHHHABAHHHH And it is awesome. Make sure to get up to Cadillac mountain at sunrise. If you dig nature, take the ferry out to Isle Au Haut. Not many people live on it and it is beautiful. I could give you plenty of places to go but they are all to look at rocks Scars remind us that the past is real
wingnut 0 #12 January 11, 2005 QuoteIs this punishment for leaving i think so.... been here a week, and worked 12-16 hours almost every day....... oh did i mention it is cold as hell and snowing, well it stoped snowing yesterday...... but then the wind picked up and it was blowing the snow..... had to go check the jets' engine intakes at the end of the runway and the snow blowing by thier taxi lights made it look like i was on top of a cloud..... very cool, well besides it was freaking cold as hell..... looks like i probly won't make it outside of bangor, but i would like to come back to visit in the summer time it realls does have a lot of potential for a vacation destination...... on a side note my roomate wanted me to bring her back two live lobsters so she could have them as pets... i found the next best thing.. a couple rubber lobsters at the airport gift shop... i think she'll be happy withthem...lol... p.s. for an internaational aiport, i think bangor wins for being the smallest...... ... p.p.s. why did it take me 6 days to relise the hotel had internet acess right in the lobby...... i should have brought my laptop they have free wifi in the rooms..... oh well..... p.p.p.s yes as the comercials say the sheraton's "perfect sleeper" beds are pretty comfy...... lol... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"
