dreams

ok, so i know alot of people have that dream about opening real low and coming in fast but land soft....what i want to know though is does anyone have the dream i frequent....what happens is i can run and jump in the air, when i jump in the air, i go much higher than i excpect, like a couple of hundred feet, and it takes forever to come down. I have had this dream alot and am starting to perfect this jump. I went through a stage where i would put myself in a 'track' so i could get more distance, but lately seem to have mastered this dream and can just jump up a couple of hundred feet and start freeflying around as if i am in a wind tuneel. It is a dream i enjoy, especially seeing as i dont need the parachute so am past the dreams of not being able to open until a couple of feet above the ground, now i just jump up and start pulling out all these moves.
Does anyone else have this ability in their dreams?

....now if only i could plan to have these dreams when i choose to. Oh and there is always the same person i jump up with in my dreams....is that you?:S

I used to have a similar dream, except I didn't have to jump in the air to launch...I'd just push my back up against a wall and this would give me the energy to launch upwards.

And this was when I was a kid, long before I ever even knew of skydiving! :)

I've always dreamed about flying. When I was a kid I flew by jumping up and kicking my feet--a little like running, a little like swimming. I still have those dreams, but nowadays I fly with more finesse...B|

I tend to get some pretty good dreams lately, they are like super dreams, but i also get some really bad fucked up nightmares...super nightmares......i wonder if drinking so much red bull gives me super dreams, it is like my dreams are on speed. The red bull i drink is sent to me from thailand....it is a little different from the cans.
I also get that shitty dream when all my teeth just start to crumble and break apart....i really hate that dream.

well in new zealand you can also get red bull in 350 ml glass bottles...oh so much better, but in thailand you get the real red bull, this is illegal in most countries. the little glass bottles are like little medicine bottles and the drink is very thick with no fizz, it is known as double red bull....it is also said to have crystal meth in it, and this why it is illegal. I tell you from experience, that it does the trick a shit load more than normal red bull. If you have a bottle of this in the evening you will find yourself still going at 11am the next morning looking for more beer.
In thailand for around 2 u.s. dollars you buy a drink called a thai bucket, now this is a little sand castle bucket filled with ice, a half bottle of vodka one can of coke and a thai red bull...this will keep you going all night. though you tend to drink a few of them. people will say that red bull in thailand does not have crystal meth in it and that it is a myth but i ask you to try it and then tell me it does not and also explain why it is illegal in most countries.

some people who drink this says 6 bottles a night is better than any cocaine. others say it makes them pshycotic. i do suggest that any one who drinks this knows what they are getting themselves in for and also just because you can not read the ingrediants on the bottle, you should know what you are putting in you. This drink does have a natural amphetimime in it.
The red bull recipe comes from thailand and i suggest anyone who lives on 5 or more cans of red bull a day should order this product as it is much cheaper and if you were to have more than one a day and go skydiving, you would be off your nut and i would class you as a person snorting speed and skydiving.

Yeah, I've had a dream like that for years. I was in high school when it started. I push off the ground, float up, drifting with not much speed. I can do manouvers and stuff, then slowly descend and touch down on my feet. It's a wonderful dream.B| I've had flying dreams for as long as I can remember. They're great dreams, but in them I'm always worried about hitting power lines.[:/]

I Go In alot in my dreams... used to be from planes, lately it's from fixed objects (and I haven't BASE jumped yet)
Kinda weird. But I just think my subconscious neuroses are surfacing, that's all.

Does anyone else have the pilot chute in tow reoccuring dream?

that is the exact dream i have, i love it, it is all very slow to get to height and then when i think i am as high as i am going that i end up going higher and get this nervous feeling in my gut.
People here say they had these dreams before skydiving, i wonder if non jumpers have these dreams, maybe flying or skydiving is really meant for some people.

In my flying dreams.. I never really know HOW I go from the ground to the air... but it just happens, then I "hop" to higher air.. and can "tread air" with my arms... It's not flying in a superman sense... rather, a movement in that dimension... or a lightness....
(then I have to attack or run away from whatever else is in the dream)

we only use 7% of our brain

Not true. Why have it if it's just dead weight? I'll agree it SEEMS like some people don't use their whole brains, but the idea that none of us is using our brains to their full capacity is ludicrous.

I've had DZ dreams before but last night had my first actual skydiving dream. I had a great freefall, pulled, and decided to just stay belly-to-earth after deployment. In dream world, this was possible, but what it meant was that my deployed canopy stayed on its side and got farther and farther away from me until the lines were incredibly long. I realized at about 1500 feet that I hadn't "gone upright" so I finally did that then took a look at my canopy and said "square. yep. stable. yep. steerable? hmmmm, maybe not" and woke up just as I was about to chop.

I blame Todd for telling me about his "quarter mile lines" dream this weekend.
