Deuce 1 #1 January 4, 2005 What the hell. Lots of talk in the forums and PM's about fitness goals. The way that weight watchers worked for me was getting on that scale once a week and cheering weight loss in a public setting. Now this is public. My goal is 185 pounds or 12% body fat, whichever comes first. Today I'm at 213 and about 19% (Tanita bodyfat monitor scale) As I and whoever else wants to join it make progress, we'll post like this Starting weight/Current weight/Goal weight/Pounds lost. Mine would be 213/213/185/0. For folks who don't want to post their actual tonnage I'd suggest Goal weight loss/weight lost. Mine would be 28/0. At 213 I really don't feel all that obese since I peaked out at about 300 a few years ago, but I got lax in the last year and the comments from the skinnies about my "built in arch" and shit like that at Eloy were annoying. Being thin is a less annoying lifestyle. Who's in?

SarahC07 0 #7 January 4, 2005 Well, hell, I'll post something...goal weight/desired weight loss : 125/10 I've managed to drop 10 pounds from July by running my little ass off and of course monitoring what I eat. I have somewhere between 10-15 pounds more to lose. I was recently just informed that for a 20 year old female of my build the target heart rate for 'fat burning' is 130 bpm. I run just shy of 4 miles 5-6 times a week and I guarantee you my heart rate gets well into the 150's. Is this fat burning heart rate the real deal? Or what? I suppose either way I'm going to have one really healthy heart. For my new years resolution I've given up drinking soda. It's damn hard to stay hydrated when you drink 2-3 diet cokes a day. I've made it a whole 3 and a half days. Any thoughts?? (specifically on this fat burning heart rate as compared to high intensity cardio?)

boinky 0 #10 January 4, 2005 Sure, I'm in. Short term goal is: 10/0 Long term goal is: 18/0 I'm not obese and my clothes still fit, but I've heard that flying/landing a Lightning is better if your wing loading is less. It's all about CRW for me, folks. Nina Are we called "DAWGs" because we stick our noses up people's butts? lawrocket 3 #11 January 4, 2005 I'm in the process of losing weight. My figures: 210/185/185/25. Of course, the problem is that the weight loss wasn't intentional. Not that I'm complaining... My wife is hotter than your wife.

freeflir29 0 #14 January 4, 2005 I've been doing well lately. I don't weigh myself....I just go by how my clothes fit and how I look in the mirror. I don't know what happened.....I guess it was eating all that crap and drinking like a Viking every day at WFFC. From then until November I must have gained 10-15 pounds. I went to put on a pair of pants that I had bought in Spring 2004. They were literally SEVERAL inches too small in the waist. They now fit again but I still have another 10 lbs or so to go. It's tough now that I live 200 yards from my parents though. My Mom calls me several times a week trying to get me to come eat something she has made. VanillaSkyGirl 6 #15 January 4, 2005 QuoteI went to put on a pair of pants that I had bought in Spring 2004. They were literally SEVERAL inches too small in the waist. I know how you feel. I don't need to loose lbs, but my pants are all too tight. My thighs seem to have expanded since I have been inactive for so long. It's extremely embarrassing. My goal is to be able to fit easily into my tightest pair of jeans.
Casch 0 #16 January 4, 2005 235 / 232 / 180 / 3 Bodyfat: 28% I dropped 30lbs last year from late January to early March doing the slimfast thing, and lots of cardio. Since then I have gained 15lbs back. I'm dropping again though, especially now that I've got a puppy in the house that I need to take for jogs. I can't wait to get down to my goal. Sometimes though, it doesn't seem like it's even possible

slug 1 #24 January 4, 2005 Beware Losing weight has it's downsize Uh I mean downside. If you all lose all them lbs your w/l will go down so you'll be buying new canopies/containers or jumping with weights For every pound you lose someone else will have to gain a lb Or the earth will spin out of orbit Seriously Someone on the news said that after a study of the weight loss programs/diets there was only one that worked. Weight watchers: people kept a minimum of 50% of their weight loss off aftr 2 yr's. Good luck in your goals R.I.P.
