AggieDave 6 #27 January 4, 2005 I'm 265 at 19% (multi point caliper test). My goal is to get back down to 12% and I really don't care what I weigh. If I stayed at 265lbs and had 12% bodyfat, actually I'd be pretty damned happy with that. I need to get this done by July, so I will have it done by July (if not sooner) and definately be slimmed down by October for my wedding.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Evelyn 0 #30 January 4, 2005 I purposely set out to gain weight after getting really frustrated with my fall rate (yeah, people told me it was a dumb idea but I didn't listen ). My plan was to gain the weight then lose it and put it on my rig once my new rig came in (with weight pockets). I've had my rig since October, but have yet to lose the 10 lbs. I gained. It was so easy to gain it, can't believe how hard it is to lose it. I'm going to start spending an extra hour at the gym each day and see if that works. I have very little willpower so it's hard to stay away from sweets . BUT...my plan did work and I am falling faster Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller
mouth 0 #31 January 4, 2005 You just want to hold me to my comment about hitting the gym and loosing this fat. OK, fine, I'll play. 132 at the gym with 23% body fat My goal is 117 and 15% body fat. Of course I'll take even better but I am determined to get rid of all this fat. Now you all have to stay on my a$$ to go to the gym M, T, W and T. I'll go on w/e when I'm home but Friday is my day off. I have an aerobic/kickboxing schedule for each day and then free weights alternating upper body and lower body on rotating days. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit. Just in conversation with you and several others the topic has come up, and I thought "what the heck". I think weight watchers works cause you go to the meeting every week, weigh yourself and talk about success strategies for keeping it off. Don't hurt your elbow at the gym. Sheenster303 0 #37 January 4, 2005 I gained about 20 pounds while I was sitting on my ass not doing anything after breaking my leg. It's starting to come off a little bit now, but definitely not as quickly as I would like. livendive 8 #38 January 4, 2005 QuoteHrm, i wanna lose weight, but not sure how much yet. Poundage isn't really important to me. How i feel is. Right now i feel fat. Nodody knows us better than we know ourselves, so only you know whether this is applicable but I thought I'd respond anyhow. Setting tangible goals for weight loss is a good practice, especially among women. I've known lots of very slender women who "felt" fat. If they'd just look at the numbers and realize that 5'4", 105 lbs (e.g.) isn't overweight, they'd be a lot more healthy, physically and emotionally. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" Thank you very much for the confidence boost and the knowledge that some guys like women with a few curves. That said I'd love my my jumpsuits and clothes to fit like they used to. I'm headed to the gym in a few minutes. Be ready to hear me moan and groan tomorrow. Thanks, JP, for doing this. Even small people can have figure flaws and can get cellulite. Due to inactivity, bodies can become less toned. I also think that calling someone "too thin" is just as bad as calling someone "fat". Some people cannot help being smaller. Being smaller doesn't mean that a person is toned or in good shape.
Muenkel 0 #41 January 4, 2005 Weight Watchers most definitely works. I did it in '01 when I was at my fattest 196lbs. I was not happy wearing 35 inch waist jeans. Did the WW thing because my dad taught me how. I didn't go to the meetings. In 4-5 months time I was back down to 155lbs and 31 inch jeans. Anyway, got lazy, then got injured and the lbs came rushing back. Not as bad as the 196 though. So I'm in Deuce. Me: 182/182/160/0. peregrinerose 0 #43 January 4, 2005 I'm game. Started 2 years ago at 225. Goal at that time was 140. I am now at 141, and not at all pleased with the results. Still have a big gut. New goal is 125. I'm 5'3" by the way, stocky build, so any less than 125 and I'd look unhealthy. SpeedRacer 1 #44 January 4, 2005 hmm.. well actual weight can be deceiving. I have a slender frame, so my weight would make it appear that I'm leaner than I really am. I don't own a scale anyway, I just go by how much fat I can grab around my midsection. & there's been too many delicious alcoholic beverages over the holidaze. Yummy homebrew/microbrewed beer & wine. gotta get back to the gym & cut back on the drinking. I don't diet, I just cut back a little & eat normally, but healthy. Dietary regimens suck ass. Screw fad diets. Just eat & drink (alcohol) less, & exercise more, that's all. I'll check back at the end of the month. (Exception: I get to drink during the Superbowl). Because I know girl code, I know that it usually means that she feels out of shape or feels bloated.
