chaoskitty 0 #2 January 7, 2005 I'm going to be at The Farm in Cedartown. $110 all you can jump boogie. www.skydivethefarm.com But to answer your question, SDA is open and its a fun dz... but its not North of Atlanta.

chaoskitty 0 #4 January 7, 2005 Yep you are right. Looks like the closest DZ to you is Skydive Monroe. If you've got the weekend free, I'd go to The Farm. If you're on a time budget, Monroe is your best bet. Great dz as well. Skydive Atlanta is in Thomaston, probably a couple of hours from Duluth. Thats the cool thing about Atlanta.. lots of choices! Layton 0 #5 January 7, 2005 i'd love to go to the boogie but i am going to see my 2 daughters and my 2 grandchildren that i have never seen.thats the reason for the trip.just thought i could make a couple of jumps while i was there.why is skydive atlanta so far from atlanta?yeah monroe is close besides im used to jumping 182s.we have a blast with them. chaoskitty 0 #6 January 7, 2005 I thought they had a beech99? They usually have some sort of turbine on the weekends. Nothing wrong with that cessna though.. sentimental value.. it used to belong to my dzo (rip). Anyway, Lisa is the DZO at Monroe and they have forums on their website, www.skydivemonroe.com, if you want to see whats going on. Nice DZ though, nice facility, very friendly. Have a great time! ianmdrennan 2 #7 January 7, 2005 Quotewhy is skydive atlanta so far from atlanta? It's about 76 miles from Atlanta. Monroe is about 55 miles and the farm is about 60+ miles. From the middle of Atlanta it takes the fastest to go to Monroe, then SDA next and finally The Farm (that drive sucks from the city). While we'd LOVE to have you at SDA I think Monroe or The Farm are your best bets for being north of the city. Most likely Monroe for distance. All 3 are great dz's though and you'll have a good time no matter where you go. Blues!! IanPerformance Designs Factory Team
